I agree dark wheels set the yellow off well, but if you've got the Sportpack, it would be a bit daft to replace the lightweight rims with the heavier original style 7 spokes (although I nearly did!).
I wasn't suggesting changing the rims, just powder coating them smile

Now there's an idea! Anyone good with photoshop who could provide an image of what the Sportpack rims would look like in anthracite, or black? I can provide a high res photo of my car to work from.

Car from originally posted advert..

Personally think it looks better instantly with darker rims.

Maybe continue that trend with some other bits, perhaps the side strikes in carbon fibre, and some other pieces... who knows!

Recoat them leaving the front face diamond cut! £90 a wheel.
That is actually a nice spec.
If you like the colour go for it.
There is a yellow roadster just up the road from me same age @ £63k

Yep, it definitely looks better with the dark rims, although the colour of that car in the advert does look washed out. Any chance you could wield your photoshop magic on this??

Please.

Where's that? Presumably not in the AM dealer network as it doesn't come up in their locator ...

Guess it's this one http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1761489.htm, which is 'only' a 4.3.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to recollect that when the V8V was first announced by Aston maybe 8 years ago (?) there was a picture of it on the front of Top Gear - looking drop-dead gorgeous in yellow.

When I placed my order a year or so I was disappointed that the colour I'd been smitten by was not available and I had to go for Torro Red instead...

I think sunburst yellow is still available as a special order option.

I am definitely wrapping my car yellow for the summer. These pictures just look superb - who cares if it has a navy roof and a beige interior... ermm...

Thanks. I definitely have to consider doing this, the dark rims produce an even more dramatic appearance (although SWMBO disagrees!).

This seems like a good value "new" car - Yellow V8V.

Obviously the colour is why it's not selling! Is this tasteless, or would it be OK? I would think it could be wrapped quite easily if you couldn't live with the colour as it is, and you'd still be getting a pretty good deal. Apart from the lack of premium audio it's a good spec otherwise.

Rather than spending c£65K or a two year old car, I'm thinking this might actually cost less in the long run by the time depreciation and warranties are taken into account (assuming I'd keep it for at least 3 years ...).
I think in 3 years time, wrapping cars will be such a standard thing to change the colours that you'd be fine - I hope I'm not alone thinking this!

Why is it not a good idea? I've wanted to do it on all of my last 3 cars (and not because I didn't like their colours, just for a change). I think this will be the first one I get around to doing it on.

I don't follow.....you can have any colour you want and, unless things have changed, you always could.
