I agree - even those with their other halves there will be attending a dinner en masse and listening to tall tales of Astonautic exploits, hardly a romantic evening out. The Mercure in Beaune is not exactly a crash pad either, it's nice.

Furthermore, I asked the question about discount for a group booking, which she is willing to consider once she has the full details.

Just spoken to another helpful lady called Amelie at the Mercure Hotel in Beaune. She's confirmed a group booking rate
of 118.15 euros for a double room / 109.33 euros for a single plus 15.90 euros each for breakfast, parking is included in the
the room rate.
Our bookings can be secured individually with our credit cards and payment taken on departure, in addition we will be
able to cancel with no charge up to 24 hours before our stay. Further details are as follows:-
