Same here ... Yours looks lovely.
Took mine out today for the first time in several weeks. Every journey no matter how mundane feels special.
Indeed, just hearing her start for the first time in months was lovely and within 10 seconds of reversing it evoked more emotion than 3 hours in the model 3 Took mine out today for the first time in several weeks. Every journey no matter how mundane feels special.

Very nice, terrific in this colour!
Thanks, I love it... I do need rear space for the family but parting with it will prove very very hard.It was MOT day today and filled up with £1.70/ltr go juice. Everything was fine except the headlight aim. The car has not been tested since the car was resprayed so during the refitting of the front end the body shop set the aim for LHD meaning the 'kick up' pattern pointed to the right. Fortunately an easy and quick fix. And just 1,400 miles in a year.

Went driving in the mist
Evidently back in the sixties Rolls Royce planned on naming the car that became the Silver Shadow, the Silver Mist. Thankfully for them however they did some research and discovered that mist means dung, manure, and other similar things in German...Mr.Tremlini said:

A bit like the Toyota Pajero, in Portugal the word Pajero translates to wker, so they had to change the name in Portugal. I bought it some new shoes. A set of four Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S to replace the rather ancient Bridgestone AM9s.
I'm going to spend some money on it over the next few months as it hasn't been a particularly expensive thing to maintain over the past ten years.
The two front corners of the bonnet are corroding so a trip to the paint shop is required to smarten things up a bit.
Given that it's on 56k miles, it's probably about time to fit a new clutch as a preventative measure before the original one decides to give up on life somewhere inconvenient. The pedal is getting heavy and quite long, so it's almost ready.
It's got a noisy/clicking CV joint too, so that can be attended to at the same time.
Nothing too outrageous, but spendy enough. However, it hasn't been particularly demanding of my wallet over the past decade, just servicing really, so I don't begrudge it a cash splurge now.

Just to add to my previous post (as I had completely forgotten about it until tonight, old age y'see) I thought I'd share this discovery.
Upon refitting the o/s/r wheel with its shiny new tyre, I spotted the brake sensor wire was hanging free in the breeze instead of being clipped to the flexi pipe.
That would be the new flexi-pipe fitted (by a nameless main dealer who is usually pretty good) at last July's MOT/service.
Sigh.

I can not understand why these things keep happening when you pay $150 an hour for a job to be done properly. There is simply no excuse and the added expense that can be caused by carelessness is something that must be considered let alone your inconvenience. Not good. I had similar, oil filler cap left off after a service. Non dealer. Luckily I noticed a bit of oil on my windscreen, had only traveled a couple of miles imagine if I had driven for an hour or so, whats that ticking noise?Upon refitting the o/s/r wheel with its shiny new tyre, I spotted the brake sensor wire was hanging free in the breeze instead of being clipped to the flexi pipe.

Today I've done some more de-modification.... Removing the peeling, flaking mess of black paint the previous owner applied to the bonnet vents. I much prefer the factory look, particularly as the car is white!
Interesting, I don't recall ever seeing copper bonnet vents on a Rapide before... Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
