Made a virtual copy in Gran Turismo, washed the real thing (Meguiar’s hybrid ceramic wax is amazing), got the real thing dirty again.

This GT one is a video. Click image to see video. Very cool.

Cool. How's GT7? I am on the fence about it, I am not a fan of all the supposed micro transactions needed to get the high end cars.

Thanks. That’s still GT Sport. Haven’t got GT7 yet.

What’s the price per litre of P98 over there?
Ours peaked at about AUD2.30 (GBP1.30) a litre but it is down to AUD1.77 (GBP1.00) near me, or AUD1.63 (GBP0.92) in cheaper areas.

I paid £1.79 a litre last weekend for Esso SS+ (the best fuel in the UK at the moment). The tank on the Rapide was showing about 1/3 full and it still cost over £120 to top it up! frown

Similar shock on the V12VS. £109 for a partial fill-up. So I decided to make every penny thoroughly enjoyable at every opportunity.

Same here. Looked on a well known website for prices before hand: Quoted 163.9 paid 185.9!!

£111 and there was still a quarter of a tank left.

Someone is having a laugh.

So £150 to fill a car from empty.

My brother traded-in his taxed and MOTd Mondeo recently for £150 - For a whole car with some petrol in the tank....

Indeed. The owner of that DBS takes it to Le Mans every year. Even last year.

Cleaned mine today in readiness for the Vantage Engineering open day tomorrow afternoon at 4pm.

Even gave the leather a feed treatment. G5 paint treatment is so easy to apply and wipe off and gives months of great protection.

Blimey. But cars are much cheaper over there so swings and roundabouts I guess!

Removed, dried out, sealed and refitted the driver’s side rear light cluster.

If it doesn’t work and the moisture returns next winter I’ll stump up for new, thought it worth a try for the summer months.

I thought I'd have a go at that but I'm not sure where to start to be honest.

On my 4.7 roadster I guess I'd need to remove the boot lining first ? I can't see any obvious bolts.

I had a head scratch moment too. On the redpants video there are three caps with bolts clearly visible inside the boot. On my 14 DB9 there was just a liner with no bolts or caps showing. After a bit of experimentation I found that you can easily pull some of the boot seal off (it goes back on fine), then peel off the liner where the seal was (it’s glued but doesnt take much force to get it off). That then exposed the 3 bolts/nuts for the light unit, which from then was easy to remove.

That used to be the comedians joke about Skodas.
How do you double the value of a Skoda ?
Fill it with petrol.

Keep some Shell and BP shares in your portfolio.
They are cyclical businesses, but when filling our cars with high price fuel, it is satisfying to think your oil shares are increasing in value.

Works the other way as well, of course. Doesn't seem many years ago, when the crude oil price was $25 and some oil wells have higher extraction costs than that. Every barrel which came out, lost money.
