How goes the other project Bob? And no, i don't mean the cygnet lol
Oi,,,I'll have you know Betzie is a very well behaved member of the Aston Martin Car Room Club, makes her contribution to the Room in a small but profoundly unforgetable way, thank you. wink As to the MO551E project, progress has over the winter/Spring been slow, mainly because a new production method being adopted which creates the aluminium body panels. The detail has now been finalised and production implemented, the promise of significant build progress starts at the end of this month.

I'm hopeful that Septemberish will see her taking her place in the Car Room Club, offering a salute to that most famous era of Aston Martin Heritage, the DBR1 successes of the late 1950's.

Yesterday, enjoyed an early morning clear/dry roads drive to Snetterton race circuit, a fabulous drive and a great start to the British GT day. Bought 2 VIP tickets at Ed's Burghley Auction, guests of Generation AMR MacMillan Racing,,,even got roped into helping out with a grid marker board,,,got all excited,,,Lewis H never showed though. frown

One stopped to have a sniff at the heat rising from the bonnet vents, a little rev persuaded her to discontinue .

That was a bit mean,,,she just wanted to say hello and check which herd you were from. hehe

Sean, Rob, thanks,,,,IMO Volcano red, or any dark red does look awesome on an aston. Except that is, on a DBS, black-black-black has to be the colour, strange that.

At dusk, unplugged the trickle charger and took Vesuvius for a well overdue 25 mile gallop, utterly fabulous.

Vesuvius in at Cambridge for service and hopefully they will locate and cure an annoying 'tick-tick-tick sound that occasionally and only briefly eminates from the transmission at low revs/speed as power is reapplied,,,a truly difficult one for them to sort.

PS: unable to post images recently, getting this message when I try: "The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite".

I offer just a friendly reminder, the trickle charger, much more than 3 weeks being idle without and you'll wish you had,,, I do, cos I've just had the pleasure and the language was colourful. irked

Sunny indeed, dry roads, well close enough,,, Vesuvius reminded me what 580 bhp feels like,,, its niiiice.

Then it was the turn of her stable companion, MO55IE. A touch parky it has to be said but as I arrived back home and parked her alongside the red beast I realised I couldn't say which drive I had preferred more,,,, in different ways they both gave copious amounts of adrenaline rush, just wonderful. thumbup
