I now have changed to 2 year servicing on my V8V (a low use keeper).
1. Aston Martin buy engines from Mercedes-Benz, so presumably they consider MB know what they are doing.
2. For my daily driver, the Mercedes-Benz dashboard indicates when a service is required. It has been every two years.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum.
Very interesting insight PMK.
As consumers, we never know what happens behind the scenes, so just tend to believe what we are told.
It did surprise me that the dashboard indicator has always triggered 2 year intervals (perhaps due to below average annual mileages).
Less money for the MB workshops though. I think more recent M-Bs, have to have every 12 months services.
Mine is now 20 years old and close to 100,000 miles, so the 2 year service intervals have worked so far. Still feels, looks and drives exactly the same, as when new.
Will find out eventually whether doing the same for my V8V is wise. Less than 1,000 miles last year (no trip under 25 miles). This year might be even less unfortunately, under the present circumstances.
If you have any further comments (about 2 year) PMK, I would welcome them.

By the way the seats are fantastic and more comfortable than you'd expect, even after a full day crossing Europe. Also got the vote of the other half who has strong opinions on seats.
Another vote for lightweight seats from me. Previous V8V and DBS had sports seats and now V12V with lightweight seats. I doubt you’d be disappointed with either TBH but I do prefer the lightweight ones. Look great and feel great to sit in. As said already very comfortable over longer distances. lime1 said:

Hey, how’s my car doing? Hope you’re looking after the beast...of course you are! Have you made any decisions on the wrapping, what’s staying/going?Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
