So what have you done with your Aston today?

Hey Guys,
Just moved down to London and looking forward to the VIP enclosure this Sunday and the Le Mans cars!
Im reply to the topic, I flew back up to Aberdeen last weekend to finish moving the rest of my stuff down to London. Youd be amazed at how much you can fit in a DBS if you pack it tightly enough! 560 mile blast, 30Deg heat and a good 150kg of crap and she didnt miss a beat! Wish Id paid attention to the sat nav though when planning my route to her home for the next two months, took me right through London city centre!!

Hi Yeti,
Im currently in Chiswick for 2 months and will be looking for a place a little closer to the city centre long term. Hugely looking forward to a visit to Bamford Rose when I get a bit of spare cash, been following their thread since it started! On that note, who would you say Id be better taking my car to to solve a few niggles, Bamford or Nicolas Mee? I wouldnt mind the hour trip north as Id make a weekend of it and try and get a Gaydon factory visit in. Ive what seems like a rattley steering wheel over harsh bumps, think it could be the bushes afetr the previous own fitted horendous 21" Kahns (now removed!) and the usual sticky fuel filler catch!

Also try Trinity engineering.Ive what seems like a rattley steering wheel over harsh bumps, think it could be the bushes
They are aware of the steering wheel, which if I recall is down to a bit of rather poor design in the column (can't remember the exact details). They have a fix, but it is a column out job

I'm in Chiswick right now. Send me a PM and we'll have lunch Im currently in Chiswick for 2 months
The workshop manager recently left Nicholas Mee's so I don't know what the set up is there anymore. Depends what kind of 'niggles' you're talking about, and if you're planning some BR upgrades then taking a look there will help you make up your mind
Mikey - had a 'cheese crisis', will give you call back now...

I hope you know, it'll be >rubbish< without me there. Jockers' dulcet scouse tones and melanin-deficient pallor is no substitute

When are you going down to the West Country? You always slip down for a half and we would guarantee to get on your way down in good time.
Thanks for the tips Peterr96 and Yeti. Ill have a look at this Trinity Engineering. The steering issue does unfortunately feel like it will be quite expensive, Im hoping itll be a warranty job!! (warranty is through the Jag garage I bought the car from and not an AM one so well have to see how that goes!). Im off to Ghana next week so Ill unfortunately not be about next Friday but Im keen to meet up for a lunch or a beer when free the week after. Would be good to meet the people I see messaging! Might be of interest to you guys, I also run a Mondeo ST220 as a track car, not very glamorous but I like the fact its a distant relative to the AM V12....dare I say it! You can also drive it at 10/10th with very little skill! She is now 260HP and with SS headers and an unsilenced exhaust sounds like an Eagle Speedster! She now has a bigger specific output than my DBS! Cant wait to get her down to Brands Hatch, I could do Knockhill backwards in my sleep!
