Jockman, I did a special route for you that cuts out about 40miles, this way can start with everyone and finish at the same time as everyone
I've amended that for you biggrin

Also you won't have to worry about Toby's V12V looming in your mirrors all the way round wink
TJ - you are a true gent !!!!

I'm actually planning on doing the route at my relaxed speed BEHIND the rear walkie Talkie so that Kaz and I can enjoy it. I shall be there at the tea break point and there again at the finish point for another cuppa and a nice bit of cake.

Being the rear markers in Wales was challenging - Tony and I were doing 140 and 122 mph at one stage just to catch up due to traffic flows. This is completely unacceptable on public roads. If any Police are reading this, I am obviously talking nonsense.

Just as Tony and I would catch up.....Rob would pull over into a laybye so that we could all bunch together for a photo etc......then pull out in a break in traffic and leave us a mile back again until we could pull out.....and so the chase began again smile

No point pretending I'm as accomplished a driver as, say, Molly, Rob, Yeti, Tony, Cockernee, Mikey, Luna, to name but a few.

Indeed, if it weren't for George I would probably be the slowest driver on this forum yes

In all seriousness - this is the smart and responsible thing to do. You'll probably arrive at the destination 45-60 seconds after the last car anyway!

Might well be worth breaking up into two groups - not fast and slow or anything, just two smaller groups so this problem happens less.

On Lotus runs I have been on, 30 cars are split into 5 or 6 groups of 5 or 6 cars - that way it's rare people get left at junctions/traffic lights and so on. It's a rare traffic light sequence or gap in traffic that can service 20 Astons!!

+1

Mikey K would split the Honda group in a similar fashion, and I believe they do this on track days.

The wives tend to get a bit wary when blind bends are being taken at such speeds so I'm happy to be classed as a slower driver. Unless of course your partner is Louisa. She opens Steve's beer bottle with her teeth yes

You guys are great company and we do have a lot of fun over the entire weekend so I don't want my fat head to be full of worry over what speed I will need to go to keep up smile

Apologies for the late notice - Had a bit of a break and completely forgot about this. My friend has a wedding in Sweden that weekend so I won't be able to make this! I haven't read the entire thread since my catch up so sorry if I've caused any problems or am leaving a space spare - looks like there's plenty of interest anyway!

Hope everyone has a blast as we did in Wales!

Due to my son deciding that he is going to enter the Birmingham Half marathon this year (just turned 17) and this is the longest run he has ever had a crack at I feel obliged to support him (so says my wife), given I used to drag him and his younger brother to all my runs before my hip injury (aka old age). So I am going to have to cry off. Really sorry, was really looking forward to meeting you all. I will get to one of these meet ups soon.

I am off tommorrow to the U S Nirvana tour so all is not lost. Any Aston owners going?

Right... this Thorpe Park place... where is it and where is this run going to be..? Edit, googled it... YORKSHIRE??? That's miles away rolleyes

Does anyone want to drive up from SE/London together so I don't get lost and end up at at some theme park...?

Will we need snow chains? Foreign money? Whippets?
