This post is starting to irritate me.......it's only a bloody name .........and let's face it the first Vanquish was flawed in so many ways, lets hope Aston has got it right with this one ......don't get me wrong Vanquish 1 is a fabulous car

As far as I'm concerned they can call it the Aston Martin Gaylord .....

+1 biggrin

The last vanquish seems like a flawed version of the DBS, so there is no need to be precious about the name.

But any name that starts with van ...just doesn't seem right, surely they can do better than that

WE MUST ALL REACT SO THAT THIS NEW AM310 IS NOT CALLED VANQUISH

THE VANQUISH MUST REMAIN THE ONLY VANQUISH EVER

THAT'S A PURE MYTH FROM AUTOMOBILE HISTORY

LET'S SEND LETTERS TO ASTON AND CALL THEM AT GAYDON

NOTHING IS OFFICIAL AND IS STILL TIME TO CHANGE THINGS

Yes, the wheels are better but it's still got the guppy-fish mouth. In fact seeing that in 'Predictable Silver' it dosn't look that different to a DB9. Certainly not the leap forward I was expecting.

I love it, in this pic it does look like it has a fish mouth but in the flesh, I didn't notice. Can't wait for its release

Any expectation on price?? I think it's utterly beautiful and, if not too expensive, I'm seriously considering putting down an order (as and when).

I understand £200k plus options = £210k-£220k ??

Being picky, personally I still don't like the high internal rear brake light. To me it spoils the lines. A retro step. I would have preferred to see it somehow incorporated in the boot lid.

The rest, especially in a 'comfortable' Aston colour is gorgeous.

I also think the lovely bulbous rear arches justify the 'Vanquish' name.

I'm still not a fan of that splitter, in fact it's truly awful. If it lost that then the front looks quite good.

The rear of it reminds me of an SLS because of the way it slopes down, and I don't mean that as a good thing. A spoiler on a road going Aston is just wrong too imo. Doesn't look right.

I agree with George on the splitter. I thought it was the worste part of the car. However in the latest pictures it actually looks as if it may well be aerodynamically usefull and it has grown on me quite a bit.

If that's the case, let the massive discounting commence.

The exchange rate has already started to do that for you.

Because of a strengthening £ a couple of weeks ago my stay in Dubrovnik has cost 12% less just because of the weakening Kuna.

If the prices continue to be quoted in Euro then that car is heading toward DBS territory smile
