Err sorry to say this, but yes it does!! Just can’t get on with the looks of that thing!

After making his cheeky comparison, Matt LeBlanc (Top Gear) might have to wait some time for the next test car from Aston Martin.

Marak Reichman said it was intended to look like a predatory shark. I think he needs to go fishing with Matt LeBlanc to see the difference hehe

On the basis that MleB has been fired from Top Gear, I doubt he’s overly bothered.

It gets a glowing review in the Telegraph here https://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/aston-martin/asto... (you may need to sign in to read it)...

But the review still didn't like the looks or the interior scratchchin

Any reason to think he has been fired? I thought he was rather good, and assumed he just wanted to go home to the USA.

My thoughts too. He's an excellent host so can only believe he's had enough or wants to spend more time in the US with his partner and kids.

Can't stand the show but he certainly wasn't fired

Not sure myself. I thought his presenting style was like his acting - stilted and wooden.

I stand corrected. My misinterpretation of “spending more time with the family”.

I still doubt he’s bothered about comparing the New Vantage with a catfish, or any impact on AM’s desire to loan new cars to TG.

For those that consider I may have been unduly harsh on the looks of the New Vantage, I think this one looks tremendous! biggrin

Just to be different - I rather like the look of the new Vantage (and, yes, I'm the wrong side of 40)!

Actually prefer the looks of the race car...the paint job and grille seem much better....still a bit slanty eyed headlights, but much prefer it over the standard front end.....

I have to agree with him, the new car is ugly. Astons should be form over function. Everyone else does the opposite and it dates quickly.

So here it is, first pic I’ve seen of a manual.

Looks lovely, but want to see more...

Not on the official AM website yet.

Most interestingly 95kg lighter, less torque, LSD and Carbon discs.

Price goes up about 20%.

Not sure why the ‘59 model has the colour scheme of the WEC 2017 car and is nothing like the ‘59 colours.

I’m not in the market for one but for me it’s the most attractive new Vantage so far.
