Hi all,
I’ve been a very long time lurker, quite a few years ago I decided I wanted a Vantage, the model and spec crept up, as did the budget, in the end my best man maths told me I should go all in with a V12VS

Here’s Big Red...being delivered by AM works to me in Hythe, Southampton on Tuesday, to say I’m a bit excited hardly covers it.

Cheers,
Steve
Red and black are such a great combo, nice number of cylinders too, well done, top marks, achieving car ownership dreams are quite the buzz.

Wow, (Heritage?) Chiltern Green - a "long-time-no-see" colour here - AND Manual. You must be very proud of this rare beauty!

There aren't many cars that still look as drop dead gorgeous after 13 years. They really cracked it with the vantage. It's truly a timeless shape.

Apologies for the less than stellar quality pics, however she's finally home and safely tucked away with the rest of the mob. It is some car and it sounds fabulous

Is the C6 yours? I am interested in adding one alongside the Vantage.

Yes all 4 in the above pics are mine. My C6 is a 2006 manual 6.0 LS2. I bought it and keep it as it's my only manual car plus it's been totally reliable these past 5 years and cab be a little bit of a hooligan when provoked. Great cars and very underrated

Must add that the Aston has exceeded my expectations very quickly, it's super responsive, handles very well and sounds ridiculously good. And it is just so damn good looking

My mate in Dubai leant me his Ron Fellow C6 for a blast which is what first had me hooked. It would be a manual I would want too but pleased to hear its been as reliable as the reputation suggests and I would be keeping it at a holiday home so don't want something that needs constant attention - arrive and drive. Sadly prices for a C6 in Spain are double the UK and 3 times where you are!

Not too many Vanquisheses on here so here's one from the dealer when I bought mine. Very content with its performance

Ah! Interesting to learn this went to a fellow Ph'r! I was watching this myself as it had been available a long time then there was a sizable drop in price!

Ill keep an eye out for your cars, I feel I saw the Vette for sale recently?

Haha yes, nowhere to hide nowadays with the t'internet. Yes I got it for a compete steal tbh, a cheeky lowball offer on the asking price and khalas, possibly the cheapest DB9 worldwide, but that was the same situation when i bought the Scaglietti a few years ago. Cars here are cheap to buy really, but the maintenance is definitely not. There are no Ferrari specialists here, it's Ferrari on the Pearl and they think everyone is a sheikh.

I did stick the C6 up for sale to test the waters as I have a manual ZL1 Camaro incoming smile but the usual 'will you take two bob for it?' enquiries means it's staying. Now 5 cars here and a moody other half.

Obligatory AM pics from when I collected it. A very nice late Thursday afternoon indeed although negotiating Salwa Road at rushhour in a new sportscar...

Got my first Aston back in October 2020, always been a dream and fell in love with the interior. Reminds me of a previous car I owned and always liked the tan colour. Spent most of 2020 looking for either a Vantage or DB9. I actually quite like the 18" wheels but would perhaps change them in the future.

Already had twin plate clutch, lightened flywheel, 200 cell cats GT8 filters and remap done which transforms the car and was all looked after by AHM. Very good outfit and only around 5 miles from where I live.
