The blue DBS Volante is Mako Blue, believe it or not. The trouble is the damned thing looks a different colour in every picture I take. Even that picture changed colour while travelling from my iPhone car porn stash on to here...
For hardcore drivers I think a white or Mako V12 Vantage would be a fantastic choice with fuse 22 removed and windows open all year round (as they don't make a roadster).
Can't see how a DBS would beat it on the fast driving front.

Yep, blue? Silver? Gold? For hardcore drivers I think a white or Mako V12 Vantage would be a fantastic choice with fuse 22 removed and windows open all year round (as they don't make a roadster).

Beautiful car. Only Mako DBS I have seen.
If you fancy a bit of a Mako blue swapsie, let me know...

The DBS offered a nicer looking car (imho) with two extra seats (for my smallest child), two suspension settings, two throttle maps and (in TT2 form) two gearbox modes.
Two throttle maps? Where is the button for that? Is it just on the TT2 car? I have a manual and would love a slightly sharper throttle.... ok here is my view...
both are basically the same car, but I am a V12V owner so I guess it is clear which way my prefernece went :
1) DBS has a wider appeal due to 2+2, auto and volante options
2) V12V is more "hardcore" and a better drivers car on the edge
3) DBS is a better long haul GT
4) DBS is more jaw droppingly stunning visually
5) V12V appeals more to the younger buyer and looks more "bad ass"
6) DBS has the edge by a tiny margin interior wise
7) V12V is more exclusive
8) DBS is a bit more expensive to buy and run
9) in theory V12V should hold its value better so is cheaper to own
V12V suit me better, mainly because of 2 and 8. In reality option 1 rules most peoples choices.

I find myself agreeing with 8-1/2 of your points. The half I disagree with is #5; the DBS is far more "bad ass" looking than the V12V. The V12V's lack of front end surface detailing mutes its 'bad assness' in comparison with the DBS.both are basically the same car, but I am a V12V owner so I guess it is clear which way my prefernece went :

Not sure I agree with 8 or 9. I think we don't have enough data. both are basically the same car, but I am a V12V owner so I guess it is clear which way my prefernece went :

I do think it's interesting that many folks on here looked at both and ended up picking their car for a variety of reasons. I just liked Mako blue and the first one I saw in Mako was a V12V. As you can tell - point 2 above goes whoosh over my head...
Now I'm even more confused ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
My natural instinct is for the v12v,coming from 911s,r8s and gallardos I'm am used to compact agile cars, the only thing I didn't like a out the DBS was its size,it felt big to me.i have no doubt to drive evry day the DBS is the better car, however I do. Not and cannot drive it everyday ,so I'm talking myself into the v12v,however the DBS is so godamn lustful ,
Anyway the timing might be wrong, really bad time to sell my convertible so may wait a few months.

9 - Well I did say "in theory". Then again a lower purchase price means it has less to loose so the DBS would have to depreciate by a lower percentage to loose the same amount of actualy £££, and I think we all accept that this is unlikely.
