These Vanquish' are growing on me - I might just have another closer look and an extended test drive. Great car and love the colour. I particular like that you have not gone for the bubble wrap in the seats - yours look much more stylish. Enjoy.

Not exactly how I'd have specced it, but it's a fantastic machine none the less.
I have to say the Vanquish has really grown on me. A lot!

Sorry, someone had to say it amidst all this fawning.
Really? Someone 'had' to say it, you really saw no other options available to yourself when someone has just taken delivery of their new dream car and is enjoying the congratulations. Someone 'had' to? This isn't a review, it's a thread with a new owner's car.

You little man, are what's known as a prize-winning cock. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
I absolutely agree, but please tell me why you are not so aggressive with the other bloke who often chooses
to give his opinion and indeed has done so on this thread ?

George has given a balanced opinion, Steven.

As a regular contributor, he is also, on the whole, consistent with his opinions.

Your recent run-in with him seems to have clouded your judgement smile

I assume you mean your pal George smile

I know George from 'real life' for a start. He is who he is, a long term Aston owner with a vocal dislike of most things that are non standard and non-structural carbon fibre applications. I'm sure that not having an Aston shouldn't mean you can't slate other people's but it sort of does in a way. Rightly or wrongly, I'll take criticism from someone who's opinion has relevance and give weight to it. We're all entitled to an opinion naturally, some are taken seriously, some not. It's a judgement call.

Maybe this new guy has an Aston or something similar, but he hides his identity. That indicates he is probably a jealous troll... Either a PH teenage newbie with a lot to learn or a long termer with a dual login. Either way, it was something of an unpleasant and unecessary post. A guy collects his P&J, the culmination of a dream if you will... His comments were as unecessary as George not liking the carbon roof was predictable smile

That's why. Aggression however was not, and never is my intention and I will edit my post - I was angry on behalf of a stranger, that's the Internet for you. This is the most gentlemanly forum on PH, possibly one of the reasons many of us also hang out socially smile

I agree Yeti ,sorry the word aggressive was possibly ill chosen.
I do not wish to continue my vendetta with George, it's water under the bridge.
I was just curious as to what seemed a certain double standard.

Stunning, congratulations on your new car. Not normally a lover of blue cars, but that really does look nice.

Fantastic looking car but, living in the red clay area of Devon, not sure that I would be brave enough to go for such a light interior - looks stunning though.
