New Vantage Model
Discussion
Whilst loving the looks... why wouldn't I with so much of the V12 having been put into it, I don't see where it fits in. At £102,500 it is in serious low mileage V12 territory and with arm twisting not too far short of a new V12.
I may be totally wrong but anyone with upwards of £100,000 to spend on a car would surely stretch the extra mile for the V12!!
Perhaps I am missing the point and I know there are technical improvements but what swayed me was the oh so noticeable driving experience of the V12 over the V8.
I am not knocking it as I think it looks gorgeous, but I just feel it is too near the available deal on a new V12.

You need to compare apples with apples on price. In todays climate nobody will pay £102+ for a V8VS just like nobody pays £145k for a V12V. The differential will be maintained in discounting for all but those eager beavers who stump up now to get the first one.I may be totally wrong but anyone with upwards of £100,000 to spend on a car would surely stretch the extra mile for the V12!!

I don't disagree, but there are many who will pay the list price, perhaps not knowing the discounts on a V12V. I daresay it will all equal itself out eventually.lady topaz said:

Isn't the point that once the V12S appears on the stands with an extra 10bhp and a bit of weight saving the equilibrium will be established oncemore.I may be totally wrong but anyone with upwards of £100,000 to spend on a car would surely stretch the extra mile for the V12!!

My husbands wallet is in denial for the day that happens. Its our 33rd anniversary next week. If I want to make 34 then Aston better just keep it as it is.Di
I am curious how the 7 speed will affect acceleration. Does anyone know what the final ratios for the 7 speed are?
I've always thought the V8V's 1st and 2nd ratios were a little lower than optimal (second going all the way to 77mph), though the current 2nd ratio does reduce some shifting on the track.
