So what have you done with your Aston today?

That DBS is a bit bold....not for me but in a strange way it works
It would work a lot better without the stupid black bits in the vents, and trying to make it look like it has a Rapide style grille. Reminds me of what people do with early Audi A3s to try and make it look like a newer model... Fools no one and looks s![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

I don't think anyone but you would take it seriously so calm down and have another smartie.
Will you be at Burghley ?
Finally got to take the DB9V for a blaston (blast+aston, see?) last night, after completing a DIY coil change a couple of weekends ago. Bad weather and lack of time had prevented this until now. Sun was shining, roof was down, fuse 22 was out, engine was purring - best it has ever run since I bought the car back in February. Pulled into the gas station only to find a pewter colored V8GT was at the pump opposite. Sage nods and knowing smiles were exchanged in an understated, non-snobbish manner before we both parted company. Cruised home, finally feeling like I always hoped I would feel as an Aston Martin owner.

Ha! Not b****y likely! The "geezer was also male and I am definitely not of that persuasion. Besides, my good lady wife (aka the best speeding-ticket prevention device I have ever found) was in the car with me.![thumbup](/inc/images/thumbup.gif)

I am tempted to say "all the better you could have had a threesome" but not wishing to cause offence to your wife I won't. ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)
Nah - Over the past 30 years I have trained my beautiful little human rev-limiter to appreciate a fine automobile, and so she probably never even clocked the driver filling the car up ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

Had the secondary cat bypass job done again all in 3" pipe with a taper just before the joint to original system midships. Had it done initially a month ago but - there was too much 2.5" too soon on the first job and exhaust shop were good to their word and re-did it for me in all 3" from the downpipes on FOC.

It is significantly louder and sounds absolutely amazing!!! Lots of crackles on the overun and a beautiful strong powerful burble at tickover. 6000rpm is![shout](/inc/images/shout.gif)
It is also nice and quiet when I flick the exhaust valve switch (although one valve is now stuck open with no way to access it to release/fix it). No added insurance cost and all done for a figure beginning with 2... Mine was the guinea pig so if anyone wants any details PM me. I may get my big mics out and do a recording - although even a pair of £1000 mics wont cope with this dynamic range!
Its taken 10 years off me![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

Let me know how it goes, please - thinking of doing the same.
Didn't work for me, dried out nicely and then when refitted went a bit nuts again. I'm going to order a new light and then see if I can separate and reseal my dodgy one (I'll take pics and write instructions on how to do it if successful)AstonZagato said:

It doesn't seem to be doing much to be honest, there is still condensation in the light and it has been sat above a radiator for almost a day, think I am just delaying the inevitable and will end up buying a new light.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
