Picked up a new stablemate for the V12V from Works. Epic.

Very nice! We need a like button on the forum!
+1. Lovely looking Newport Pagnell Vanquish S, congratulations, a very wise purchase!

Congrats. We were at Works yesterday and saw your car. Beautiful. I'm in a DB9 Volante while my Ferrari 599 is at the body shop and I must say I've been massively seduced by my first taste of Aston Martin (temporary) ownership. Simon Staples poured some fuel on the fire and I found myself sorely tempted by a beautiful black Vanquish in their showroom. Wife prefers it to the Ferrari. Oh lordy!!

Meant to say Simon Stanton. Not sure who Staples is! smile

Thank you. Walking into Works is always a pleasure (and dangerous!).

Indeed it is. Very easy to install. And the noise of the V12 is just brilliant.

I had some issues with the central door locking not working right after the installation. But after a short drive everything is working again. I don't think that it is related to the fuse kit installation though.
Interesting - when I installed mine I had similar issues where the boot release on the keyfob wouldn't work until I opened and closed the doors a few times. Just like your issues though, it went away after a short drive (and nothing was logged on the OBD)

Did all of this except we drove back to Wexford for the ferry to Fishguard not across to Anglesea. Sailing tomorrow. Car is very dirty!
Love the Irish!

Route looks epic Martyn. I may well be picking your brains for that one as have only ever seen my Celtic cousins' Dublin. How many miles was it?

Did a dump run. The pic is about halfway through loading and I had to remove the shelf to cram everything in there. Mainly squished cardboard, but thought it was about time I binned my 30+ year old arc welder too.

I've never been assisted so much at the local tip. What helpful chaps.

Whooah, 'dump run in my Aston' oh no squire….. That's what Land Rovers are for! Get yourself a Defender (have had mine for 10 years), they are great for everything muddy, snowy, flooded, pulling horse box and the dump run!

Hi Mikey

Quick hijack of the Aston forum here. You probably gathered that Martyn (& Will) were on the same Petrolhead Tours trip to Ireland as us & it was epic! Their first time in Ireland and they did a damn fine job of it. Very happy to bore you with photos anytime you choose! Also have the day-by-day plans here if you are interested.

BTW - going back to your Morgan/McLaren weekender - thanks for the introduction to one of our more local eateries as we called in for a pitstop on the way back from Holyhead on our return on Saturday evening. Cheers matey!

Loving the new car Molly. As a random off topic question, how do you find the new 1.8 Polo GTI compared to the old one? I'm in the market for a new daily and was looking at them
