Picking it up at 4pm so just some daylight and a 1hour drive home with my son.

Then no doubt evening trips out with friends.

Then Sunday cleaning!
Well it's all tucked up in the garage, just needs a proper valet, machine polish, wax, leather clean and drive.

Seems to have had the gearbox oil changed so no clunky 1st and 2nd.

I have had to sneak out to the garage to have just one more look though..

I looked at the F type. Nice car and probably ranks with the best of the heavily mass produced sports cars.
I sincerely hope you enjoy it.
Cheers, I hope so too. The V8V lost very little money during my tenure but it's now a 10 year old car and in my opinion will start to cost money that it's not worth investing for me. I've done very few miles in it recently due to having a daily auto M135i which makes it feel old, heavy and just hardwork. I did take the Aston to work on Monday and watched it shine in the sunlight wondering if I'd done the right thing.

Maybe I'll miss it maybe I won't, but I've been pondering this for ages and after an hour in the V8 F Type it was a game changer. That thing is bonkers.

And if I got it wrong I can always come back to the fold.

On my way home from test driving it I happened across an old gent in a DB7 on the M6. That knowing nod had me having second thoughts too.
Make sure you get a good discount off the Jag , bought a boxster from an independent garage last week and the chat was they can't shift the jag v8's because they are just too powerful/ hairy and everybody goes for the v6 .He also said trade has been very quiet in the last 3 months - dealers getting worried ! So now might be a good time to buy

I got a really good deal thanks, only a few ££ more than a standard V6 version I'd looked at a few weeks ago. The V8 is in a different league to the standard or S version.

Could be Chris Horner's or Adrian Newey's. The latter quoted as saying (regarding the original V12V ) "...that is simply the greatest road car ever made. Extremely small and pretty with a huge, hulking engine squeezed into the front."

12 pack its Daniel Riccardos car the F1 driver. Must be good when Newey and Horner say that.

Yes, good point!

Funny that I don't really notice them driving it, does everyone remove them?

Must be good when Newey and Horner say that.

There was a fairly long item, shown during the TV coverage of the 2016 Belgium Grand Prix.
Daniel Ricciardo was driving a Vantage, with David Coultard, from his hotel to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. A good advert for Aston Martin, but I have not seen that film appear on YouTube.

Adrian Newey and Christian Horner bought their V12V cars from Lancasters Reading (no longer an Aston Martin dealer).

The £35 ebay ones are just a piece of flat white foamex with the logo printed on top, so nothing like the one in the original image which looks more 3D looking with silver outlines etc.

I'd be interested to know the source for this as well if it can be tracked down.

I think mine is the same as the one in eBay. It's a 13mm mdf board with a high resolution vinyl on the top. Effectively a sticker on a bit of wood but it looks great hanging up

Everyone except you and I! You watch; in 50 years time our cars will be highly collectible as the only two in existence with the original airbag stickers in place! nerd
