No, not a bit. I've simply highlighted your opinion as well as one other that hints at your true feelings towards Americans. I realize this site is predominantly Brits. Having travelled to your country a few times, I also know how Americans are generally considered. That is to say, not too positively.
Nonetheless, I like spending time here because I like talking about AMs. Grinning and bearing your sentiment towards people like me is just part of the equation. Doesn't mean I won't occasionally point it out.
I'd just like to add, that the wife and I have American friends, and they're truly great friends, and genuinely nice folk....Nonetheless, I like spending time here because I like talking about AMs. Grinning and bearing your sentiment towards people like me is just part of the equation. I often rib them about some of the stuff, America gets up to...... And on occassion they admit, they do feel a little embarrassed at being American
I have to remind them that it's nothing to do with them, and we all have our crosses to bear.....
Let's be honest... We Brits have a lot not to be proud of over recent years eh??
Anyway this is a car forum, and I don't really do politics
The beaches of Normandy.
The bridge over the river Kwai.
Some great things the British have been involved in!!!!!
My best friends father died building the bridge. And my father was badly injured in Normandy.
This guy is the dictionary definition of 'arshole'.
Sorry if I offend anyone here but this Richard Edward seriously offends me.

Why drive it then?
Just seemed an excuse for a frothing, hate-filled rant really
Maybe an Aston Martin touched him as a child...
The title of the auto reviews on the cnet website is "car tech". Just seemed an excuse for a frothing, hate-filled rant really
Maybe an Aston Martin touched him as a child...
Unique bonded chassis
VH platform concept
CF drive shaft
Composite body panels
Dry sump engine
6 pot calipers with floating discs
Rear mounted gearbox
Double wishbone suspension all round
OEL displays
Track setting to TC
Optional CF seats
Optional B&O pop up tweeters
Professional job of missing EVERY bit of tech then

I was not aware that the english ego was such a fragile part of the psyche.
Note to self: Use only gentle, encouraging words during posts on PH.
American car reviews are generally crap though aren't they? Car a is faster than car b and pulls more g therefore car a is better.Note to self: Use only gentle, encouraging words during posts on PH.

Jeez you guys need to take a chill pill. cnet is a technology site, they review the car " infotainment technology"(stereo, sat nav, integration etc.)as their main focus, which btw sucks on the Astons. Just look at all their other reviews, all of it is on car technology and it's interface, the driving dynamics barely ever mentioned. The gent on the video is a "technology" editor with very little driver training.
WoW, Wow!!! You've all stormed past this post with that red mist blinding you!Edited by zepe on Wednesday 15th August 01:10
As he say's "Take a chill pill" and "calm down" as we scousers say. The guy knows nothing about things mechanical!

I wouldn't post me reviewing a laptop (or whatever the kids are using these days). He should have the courtesy not to review a car, something he knows nothing about.
Last car I reviewed, the DB7, I won an award for by the way

I don’t suppose many on here bought their Aston for its " infotainment technology". Maybe he didn’t think he would get to this audience. Unfortunately he has!
What??!! There's no full hd movie projector with anamorphic lense so that I can project battlestar galactica onto an auto unfolding screen above the dash? And where's the bloody 4g receiver? And why can't i get it to talk to my dlna compatible media players. I've been had! Edited by F1 NDW on Friday 17th August 16:43
That CNET guy is a tosser. What a st review. CNET stick to tech, don't pretend you know about anything else.
