Looks nice.... But then again I'm a big fan of the kestrel interior...anyone any thoughts on this one. Im in that rough area next friday and have enquired about going to view, although im not sure on the full kestral interior
But why oh why can't main dealers proof read their adverts. According to the spec it has 18" wheels and 19" wheels....
Maybe the 18's are on the side that's not showing
I often see lots of mistakes regarding spec..... So it's a good idea to check out EXACTLY what's fitted, and what isn't...
Just to add, that on most of the cars I've seen, there are either 3 or 4 buttons by the ashtray.... Mine has 3, passenger air bag active, heated rear window, and park sensors on/off....... If it were t have a 4th it would be heated screen....
The car above only has 2.... So I'd guess its heated ear screen, and passenger air bag active.......in other words I suspect o reverse sensors.....

It states it has a heated front screen too, is the lack of buttons pointing in the direction that it probably doesnt? The car above only has 2.... So I'd guess its heated ear screen, and passenger air bag active.......in other words I suspect o reverse sensors.....

Hard to say....... It's the first one I've seen with just 2 buttons.....But if I were to guess I'd say 1 button is definitely heated rear screen.....the one on the right...
As for the one on the left, on my car this isn't actually a button you can press, but it lights up if the passenger air bag is de activated.......
The de activation button the same as on many cars and is on the side of the dash, and is only exposed when the passenger door is open...
Like I say above, it really pays to establish exactly what's fitted and what isn't..... I have a list of the options for an 06 car if it will help....
Also just spotted it says black carpet..... In the photos it appears to be Blue......(nicer IMO) but is further proof that you can't just take the spec for granted....... They very rarely get it right

Stratstone wilmslow told me they DO NOT negotiate on screen price.
I'm new to the forum, this is my first post, I'm looking at a V8 Vantage from Wilmslow and was told the same; no negotiation on price, is this really true? Anybody who can share their experiences. ThanksXarig said:

I'm new to the forum, this is my first post, I'm looking at a V8 Vantage from Wilmslow and was told the same; no negotiation on price, is this really true? Anybody who can share their experiences. ThanksThis comes up all the time ... negotiation. The trading of one element (typically price) for another, possibly a quick purchase, lucrative finance, armourfend, less "fix" demands, easier sell etc.
So when one asks do dealers negotiate then it would be worth establishing what you, the buyer, is prepared to forego to get the right price. That, I think, is the crux. Many of us set our heart on a particular spec, colour, interior etc and as a result only have limited currency to negotiate with.
if, on the other hand, you're really asking "Will the dealer give me a speculatively discounted price on the off chance I might drop a discount?" then call it what it is "asking for a discount". At this point you should really be ready to buy and have a price in mind (cash or deposit/monthly); if the sales bod suspects you are not in this position then, if he/she is any good, has seen through your discount and rather than saying "come back sonny when you are serious" they'll say no to reducing the price.
My 2p.

For every dealer that says they don't (won't) negotiate, there is another one that will...
If they have a car that meets your requirements, and you want a better price, show them that you're serious....
An example, not AM but recently on a Rolex that I was told "never" get discounted, I walked into a well known jewellers, and asked for 10% off, and said that if they'd do it I'd buy there and then.... I was told they don't discount..
Fair enough, I walked 50 yards to another jewellers, made the same offer, and 15 minutes later the watch was on my wrist...

I seems that the Stratstone group have a no negotiation policy on everything ( including servicing but that s another story)
I bought my V8VR from Stratstone Amersham & they wouldnt negotiate as such, but said that if I could find a genuinely comparable car for a lower price then they would consider matching it -I couldn t so bought from them
It s more about whether you re happy with the price - if the car is overpriced & they wont negotiate then walk - if the price is right then you can begin to understand the no negotiation stance

There sometimes appears to be conflicting opinion on here because of a lack of distinction between discount (e.g. on pre-registered cars, where it's given in huge doses without even asking) & negotiating further discount off an asking price plus of course as others have said, the difference between a speculative 'do you discount' question and the reaction to a 'give it to me at x and I'll do the deal now' approach
There are many organisations of every type that will never publicly answer the question of 'do you discount' with a 'yes' or 'never' but in fact of course will given the right circumstances - I'm afraid to come on here and call such people 'liars' as one poster did, is IMHO, a somewhat naive approach, even if technically correct.
I've had significant discount at national/international retail stores (not every time or even close, but on occasion) as varied as Versace on Rodeo Drive (first and only time I've ever been in) and Selfridges & Harvey Nics in Manchester but I bet none of them would answer the question 'do you discount ?' with a 'yes' to anyone....
I'm sure most on here have enough negotiating experience that I'll not make an idiot of myself by attempting to teach the fundamentals of negotiating but I will add that people sometimes seem to forget that business is also about relationships and non-financial issues like chemistry & face saving are just as important in a negotiation as the numbers.
