Well, I wasn't expecting this to turn into a Jaguar v Aston argument.
My father in law has a California Sage DB9 and it is lovely)
Oh we lover a good bit of banter in here My father in law has a California Sage DB9 and it is lovely)
Lovely colour that DB9!
No double breasted blazer here by the way guys I am very much "new Jaguar" (my XF 3.0 is white with big wheels and top spec Meridian Surround Sound system, not BRG with tan! No driving gloves, no tartan rug, no box of tissues on parcel shelf
etc etc)

Grange Welwyn had a DB9 in that colour last year. It looked very good and I was tempted but was sold the next day.

Well, I wasn't expecting this to turn into a Jaguar v Aston argument. Just wanted to give genuine petrol heads the opportunity to come to what should be a good do and hopefully appreciate the work which has gone into this car by another historic British brand.
If you like what you see, take one for a spin. If you don't, then you you can remain happy in your equally gorgeous Aston Martin. (Yes, I can admit to liking other brands too in fact, my father in law has a California Sage DB9 and it is lovely)
Not expecting to have to do a raft of Aston Martin appraisals on the evening!
It drives brilliantly too.If you like what you see, take one for a spin. If you don't, then you you can remain happy in your equally gorgeous Aston Martin. (Yes, I can admit to liking other brands too in fact, my father in law has a California Sage DB9 and it is lovely)

One thing I found a little off putting is the fact that the center badge/air bag is not centered at the steering wheel's axis of rotation. As the wheel is turned, the bag hub traces a pretty exaggerated eccentric circle. Very noticeable in the video test of the car as the wheel is being twirled in the switchbacks.

Okaaaay, in answer to the points i can remember....
Definitely not Cheshire, more West Yorkshire and subsequently wound up in West London.
Why not do something a bit different with a car which i effectively just rent and get to change at least every 6 months? Hell, i might even do the green / cream / burr walnut thing next just for the reaction i would get from the missus / mates

You just "have" to be interested in this car...it does sound a blast. I am off out in a V8 one on Saturday...I hope my Aston Dealer next door does not see me! What swung it for me was a quote from Chris Harris on Twitter: '@harrismonkey: Imagining F-Type V8S powertrain planning meeting: "Give it enough power to make the average driver sh*t himself, that should do it."' perfect for me....
