Mmm...it does actually, though I would need to wear open toe sandals to allow full toe curl, in order to park in line in a public area along side a gaggle of other Astons.
You'll never be able to heel and toe in those kind of sandals You're missing out you know, runs are fun and food with company is always good

The food and company I agree...the convoy, parking and polishing...no.You're missing out you know, runs are fun and food with company is always good
Full pelt on B4269 for me, not stuck at 30-50 through some village in Surrey, checking reactions & reflections in a Costa Coffee window
Cheapest DB9 volante on trader 2006 53k £36k - XKR for that money is 2010 45k, jag interior is too third world idea of cool and the quality is veneer deep but the Aston will jiggle and rattle you down the road (mostly drowned out by fuse 22 removal).
I loved my DB9 sense of occasion, I hated my XFR (saloon) attempt at quality on a budget
If the Car is to be a daily driver I would get a jag, if for a garage queen it would be an Aston
Currently I can't decide what to swap the SL55 for, it's too boring to be a garage queen - Mas Grancab Sport seems the logical choice and maybe more logical than a V8v DB9 or XKR ...........

That pretty much confirms... You don't really understand what goes on at the runs. Full pelt on B4269 for me, not stuck at 30-50 through some village in Surrey, checking reactions & reflections in a Costa Coffee window
Flat out round deserted Welsh roads is the order of the day, with a stop every couple of hours for a coffee and a chat.
No posing
Certainly no cleaning

Hi David hope your well......both myself and brother Alastair still recon the SL55 is the best all round car we have ever owned......I think brother might be tempted back into one ......Mas Grandcab might seem a little tame after the SLI loved my DB9 sense of occasion, I hated my XFR (saloon) attempt at quality on a budget

Tell Al the best kept SL55 on merseyside is up for grabs if he fancies it (might use it to pay my bill)

SPORT version Michael - had one on test along with an XKR-s and the Jag is actually a better drive but the inside makes me sick - Grancab SPORT is quite a fiesty machine.

Surprised about your comments on the interior I think the quality in the 2009 cars on is really good,I read your very good write up of 3 days with a xkr-s I thought you seemed to like the car Tell Al the best kept SL55 on merseyside is up for grabs if he fancies it (might use it to pay my bill)

I do like the XKR-s its a attractive package especially at £72k factory order (rag top) but I grew to really dislike the XFR interior and I can see the XKR going the same way its just not quality. The leather is genuine but has been made to look synthetic and the blingy bits jar on me. It all seems a bit superficial.I do think a Grancabrio can replace my 760 and the SL55 but a 30 min test drive wont convince me to get a Mas I need it for a while as i dont want to schelp to manchester for warranty crap every friday.

Ha ha........is that what you did with Neil and the Merc ?
Neil loved that CL and I thought with impending fatherhood I would need a 4 door hence 760, so it went. I was confident it was a good car so happy to sell to a friend. My Sl55 is a good car but values are low as crap ones and good ones are all viewed as money pits but preventative maintenance goes a long way to keeping costs down.
In 6 months of dad mode the kids have never once been in my car - hence no need for the 4 door now really.

Robbo you certainly have quite a misconception of our convoy’s through Wales and the rest of the North. There isn’t time to look at the speedo, never mind any reflections in shop windows. In fact I don’t remember seeing any shops, only sheep.Full pelt on B4269 for me, not stuck at 30-50 through some village in Surrey, checking reactions & reflections in a Costa Coffee window

They are £103k plus optionsThat's the issue if they were priced at worth they would sell more as some people don't know you pay >20% less and are chuffed with 10% or less. The interiors are not of a £100k car
