Err, can't speak for quality (although the DB9 and AMV8 should be leaps and bounds better than the likes of the DB7).

Interior design? Have you seen the inside of the '9 and AMV8? It's stunning.

Safety? AM used Volvo know how and facilities. But what to Volvo know about safety?

Sorry, but I have to defend the AM corner

And so you should I have worked alongside Volvo AM and Porsche so I think I am qualified to suggest that I wish AM used Volvo's test facilities a lot more and listend to what Volvo told them. The Clocks of the new AM are very good but that bloody stupid LCD screen is crap and the switch gear is still out of the 70's. Look at the interior of the Bentley and it has a common theme and afeel and look of quality the AM is just hapazard and reminds me of the comment about a 70's 911. "The switch gear looks like it was located around the cabin with a machine gun!"

AM are still working on a shoestring budget and it reflects in there final product.

The lucky b@st@rds who'll / can buy an Aston V8 pick one from the gut feeling and nod a big No to a Porker.

I know I would. Drop the 911- thing and have a breathless look at this stunner.

"The exterior of the V8 Vantage is undoubtedly stunning and perfectly proportioned from every angle with a low purposeful stance. Each carefully detailed feature provides graphic evidence of the painstaking craftsmanship and quality, which is synonymous with the Aston Martin marque."

Can't wait to see one in the flesh / ore other recent piccies. cos this pic looks a bit too much Photoshopped to me . . .

I know the current Astons look fantastic and I would really like to support this international effort at trying to developed AM but I wish they would work a little bit harder on quality, interior design and safety before telling the world how good they think they are.

Have you ever actually been inside one? The quality and interior design is superb in the DB9. Blows Porsche right out of the water IMO.

...and another thing, door. The V8 Vantage is right at the start of its develiopment cycle, It doesnt need to stretch the engine too muhc- that will come later.

And to compare an engine from a saloon car, where (quite rightly) smoothness is very important to a sportds car engine, where a bit of roughness is expected, neigh demanded is silly.

Its a bit like saying "My Golf has a bigger boot then the Aston. And it does more mpg. And has 4 proper seats. I think, as a single bloke I'll stick to the Golf.

Oh, and the golf isnt hand made, so I dont get any individualisms or slight eccentricities that come with hand built motor cars

Some great pic's there it really does look great.

Snow5 pic is just brilliant.

I must admit if I wasn't buying a new house I'd look very seriously at this. 75k+extras so about 80-85k on the road. Can't wait for the road tests between this the DB9, 911S, 430 and the Gallardo. Use an A4RS as the camera car and see which gets from Münich to Milan with the biggest smile.

Good luck to those of you that have one on order.

Looks lovely.

I wonder if Porsche will bring out some sort of 928 replacement to compete?

Its like PC world. They know you want a computer, all they have to do then is figure out how much cash you have to spend on one.

Least with Aston you get a 3 year warrenty free?
