Will echo all of the above and say a BIG thanks to Mr K for organising, and hope Mrs K feels better soon.
Cockers, how were the Brecons?
+1 , nicely done Mikey and hope the Mrs gets well soon. Great route, great company and Sorry Martin for the gravel.Cockers, how were the Brecons?
I have to say, one of my favourite roads was the Friday road through Kington to Newtown.... The A470 down to the Brecon's was awesome also. Adam, go down via A470 to the Brecons then Abergavenny to Chepstow not on the motorway. Although it sounds like the A44 was not too shabby....

Oh wait we went yesterday!
Mr's K is tucked up on the sofa looking at the photos not happy that she missed it
That Kington/Newton road is a local fav of mine
A470 is great but as many found it is often very busy
A483 is good
Knocked up a little vid I'll upload.

I am glad to see so many of you have enjoyed Mid Wales and hope you all come back one day to the best part of the Cambrian Mountains
Hester and Dylan
I know he would have liked a passenger ride but our route & timing didn't make that possible.
Maybe next time.
Can I also thank Mikey for his sterling efforts and good to put a few faces to names.
Great roads but my speed was restricted by my passenger who complained the faster I drove, the more she needed to pee!!
As a result I got lost somewhere on route to the red kite centre but found some great roads heading home, via Costa, M&S and 3 loo breaks! She's banned from the next one!!!

I found it really funny when you told her to nip over the wall, it wasn't windy so she would be ok Great roads but my speed was restricted by my passenger who complained the faster I drove, the more she needed to pee!!

Never mind her, I nearly wet myself admiring your man empathy skills.
Thing was, it was blowing a gale
Some memories on that vid Mikey !!
I actually think the Blue Team were faster than that but, hey, we'll never know. All I can say is that the 'slow' team caught the 2 'fast' teams up without much trouble. We even slowed down to regroup
Someone told me that Rob was uber competitive and was prone to a bit of adventurous overtaking manoeuvres until he tried to overtake Mikey - only to remember he didn't know the way !!!! Glad to see I'm not the only one who struggles to keep up with Mr K
We talk a lot about the power and looks of these cars but rarely applaud the fantastic braking systems that they come with.
Always good to finish a video with a bit of Rob Knob

Don't know if anyone else agrees, but of those who have done these runs several times before; did we think the splitting into groups was the way to go?
Not a question of fast vs slow, just a question of being able to get a group through a traffic light sequence, through a town or around a roundabout all together! Our group of 7 was great, 5 is probably better in an ideal world.
Thought the format was much, much better and we should have done this on the JLC tour in a more organised fashion

Urgh, just surfaced with yet another hangover. And now I have to wash the car as I didn't have time yesterday. Bit like going to bed with your make up still on I'd imagine. Mikey, can't view vid on iPad, the perennial copyright issue. I'll crack it later. Yeti, I thought the split worked really well, obviously route dependant with regard to traffic lights and roundabouts, but we experienced few difficulties in keeping together.....apart from Drew's toilet issues! I feel dreadful.

I've been involved with trans Europe tours with 20 cars before and it is VERY difficult to keep them all together.
I did a Mega Meet with the S2000 where we have nearly 80 cars in North Wales! Lots of group but too much standing around and waiting
5-10 cars with radios is ideal, any more and the back car is often out of range in hills, plus phones don't work in the sticks
I tried not to split it in to fast vs slow etc and the 10 min gaps was supposed to help, that but cockers couldn't help himself and even Jockman put a spurt on!

We learn a little bit more every time we have a group run-out. Practice makes perfect
Sorry to see you are out of the July run Lewis but know you a had prior engagement. Talking of which, good luck with the wedding planning

I cut 2 hours down to 6 mins I only had 6 in my group....3 of whom were newbies and I believe they made the right choice coming with me just to get a feel for the pace
It really is difficult to convey in print what it looks like to have Cockers or Rob in your rearview mirror and they start to get a bit restless.
I believe some peeps made the wrong choice

I had an awesome few miles playing catch up because of Drew's toilet issues Jockman said:

I did have a chuckle at the monster queue behind Cockers at the start He and Nick did a great job with that group and I am proud of you as well It really is difficult to convey in print what it looks like to have Cockers or Rob in your rear view mirror and they start to get a bit restless.

You fairly cracked on following Retman to Shrewsbury
I still caught you up though
Right time to plan Johnny 550 in Jockland
