This DBS Supperleggera is for me simply the most handsome and imposing Aston road going car they have ever built.
Handsome and imposing are not two words that necessarily go together Bob. Certainly imposing but handsome, not so sure. I agree it's the best of the current bunch but to my eyes these Reichman designs do not compete with Ian Calum's beatuful creations. So, if I was to pitch a car in response to justify my position, I'd say the original Vanquish is equally imposing and a far better looking design. Ok, so it's not as fast but that's not everything and if I was pitching any modern Aston against your DBSS I'd play the Vanquish. Beefmeister said:

Editions already? Wonder when the v8 version will be about....
Good lord, yes we get it, you prefer your Vanquish. V8V Pete said:

The red stripe tires complete the look. Photoshop the red out and put the pics side by side and see which is 'better'.
I suppose someone has to like them or they wouldn't make them. Each to their own.cayman-black said:
Thank you so much for posting, utterly, utterly gorgeous. If you Tony H don't end up with one of these phenomenal creations, well, I'll eat my hat in heaven. The TAG one I am afraid I think looks like a gangstas car - red tyres seem a little odd and black lettering on a black car seems a waste of time. I'm sure its still great to drive as I like the DBSS but not convinced a TAG watch and some red blinged tyres are worth any premium over the std price.
Can't wait t hear the cost of replacement tyres

looks nice but I think with its BHP/Torque via just the rear wheels its going to be a handful and not pleasant to drive in any damp conditions. Looking to bite and jump on any harshness of the driver would scare me off tbh.
If it were a 4wd set up then yes I would like it much more.
Curious as to how others are viewing the actual driveability with the power increasing each model ? The fun factor -v- the brown trouser moment? I think this would not be "fun" to drive in the damp and even bone dry likely to be hairy tbh.

It has a very effective torque limiter in 1st and 2nd gear, and wet traction isn't as bad as it might have been (much improved over the DB11 V12). I think with the Harry's Garage video just before Christmas, the cold weather and winter tyres skewed things slightly - Harry will no doubt revisit the car when the weather improves. If it were a 4wd set up then yes I would like it much more.

Of course the big benefit with the new cars is that the use of turbochargers allow for clever mapping to ensure traction is retained.
