Well I can beat that for lack of glamour and pizazz!

I removed the coins under my seat rail that had been driving me potty with their rattling and made a fortune!

Yawn!!!biggrin
You could be onto something Ken, a "Lack of glamour & Pizzazz" thread would certainly get us all trying some more mundane AM photography! scratchchin

Got blisters changing the plates... the last owner was very liberal with his use of the double sided tape!

Absolutely infuriates me when people do this. you don't need weld the plates on with pads ffs. on a flat surface 6 is the absolute maximum it should need!

Cool plate though.

Thanks smile

Honestly, the picture only shows half of what was there. I gave up at this point and will be taking a hairdryer a machine polish to it today!

There was a Mako Blue V12s at the Black Horse at Beamish (very nr the Aston Martin Workshop) , It would be have been Saturday afternoon, maybe 4pm, something like that. There was also a rather nice McLaren although I don't know which model as I can't tell any of them apart.
Rancid ,

Got your clutch sorted yet then ?
I have indeed Buster, had a new AMR twin plate clutch and flywheel fitted rather than the single plate standard replacement.

That, and some new O2 sensors have transformed my car, so a big thanks to the Aston Martin Workshop at Beamish for top work, as usual.

I do a bit of home surgery on the side Pete - family and close friends only! If the coins were smaller I'd have used my Tenaculum instead - proper tools for a proper job laugh;)

The pads shear usually - leaving the lovely sticky bit behind. Sometimes they can destroy the back of the plate as they come off.

The only tip I'd give is to mark the position (especially the horizontal) with masking tape as its hard to judge up close but easy to see from 10 meters if its gone on left hand down!

Took my V12V up to Gaydon to view new Vantage. Was surprised that parking was so easy. Thread on new vantage explains why!
