Judging by your profile pictures, help with a lift isn't all you need wink

Have the go-ahead at work now as well. Any news woollie or even whether it's worth running the trip with so few of us?

None of you Astonauts fancy using their car for the purpose it was designed i.e. 'Super Grand Touring'? biggrin

I might have a couple of Ferrari/Maserati chums who could make up numbers in extremis...

Wanted to go to this with my business partenr as he's into his watches. Unfortunately have a new client visiting us on the day you are travelling back. Did suggest he move it back a day. He said no!

Some people, just not helpful - just because he's flying in from HK he expects us to jump......

Sadly I can't make it to this but I do have a question regarding JLC and AM.

I know there are transponder watches for dbs,db9 and rapide. Is there a vantage(or more specifically v12v) transponder watch?

Does anyone actually have any experience of using this function?

Update on things.

Due in no small part to the late notice that I had from JLC there were only three of us that were anywhere near definite for this trip. Whilst I am sure it would still be a fun trip, I think a bigger group would be nice.

I spoke to JLC and they are arranging two dates for us to choose from in April 2013. The snow will have cleared by then (I hope, although the Swiss are pretty good at keeping the roads cleared) and I am hoping with that amount of notice that we can get more people together. Also the F1 season doesn't come to Europe until May so hopefully that won't clash either.

I am also hoping that with this amount of forward planning we can get more than eight spaces on the tour of the Manufacture which would be nice.

As soon as I get the dates I will post here and see if we can organise a bigger turnout. The same principle will apply. If you drive then accommodation and meals will be paid for by JLC. If you fly then you will have to pay your own way, but of course this would then be a day trip.

My apologies to Yeti and Behr who were up for this but hopefully we can do it next year.

As far as I know the transponder watch is only for DBS (it has DBS on the dial). I have never seen or heard of one for the V12V or any Vantage.

think they did a transponder for DB9 and rapide too

in reality, can't belive the mechanism is not suitable for all Astons ? so the question is would you mind a watch that says DBS opening your vantage, not whether it can do it

I guess they could make it work with any car as the transponder in the watch is just paired to the car, so probably works like the remote fob.

Snow = bad.

April is a better idea, although I see your point smile
