Went for a blast along the North Norfolk coast and then back through the country lanes - perfect!

What's my wife doing in your car? I'll have to make a little inquiry...

Cleaned my Alcantara steering wheel. It might not sound like much but what a difference it has made. So much more tactile and much nicer to hold on to. Don’t think it had ever been properly cleaned before...

It's quite surprising (and yucky) how much grime they build up over time. It makes a night and day difference when they're clean, especially being your primary point of contact with the car.

...she said she wanted to play with something a little less delicate and not quite so handsome!

Cleaned it for the first time in 6 months. I should make more of an effort.

I'm not one for cleaning my own cars, purely because I'm no good at it! However, with the sun out and a friends son's prom night to act as chauffeur for it'd be rude not to.

Had a lovely chat with a bloke on the train home this evening about Aston’s. The opening clue was his AMR Hackett polo. Turns out he was just on his way home from having done a deal to swap his ‘06 4.3 Vantage Coupe for a ‘12 Vantage S Roadster. Much geeky chat was had. I can only think what our fella passengers must have thought of us. Probably “tossers”.

More what I did without my Aston today...waved at a Vanquish coming the other way towards Lyndhurst when I realised I was driving my Dad's VW UP...sorry if it was anyone on here.

Is waving at other Astons a 'thing', never really give it a thought, or had any wave at me for that mater (while actually in the Aston wink)

It’s a polite raise of the right index finger from the steering wheel grip position for those in the know....

I've always made the effort when in a rarer marque, it's a nice touch I think.

Perhaps not in London but where I am, I hardly ever see another on the road, so when I do, I always acknowledge a fellow enthusiast.

Indeed, for those in the know. I frequently get a wave but if not I just put it down to the driver not realising my car is an Aston.

Correct. Mr Gould used to do this to me.

Being a sociable chappy it is my inclination to wave, however as my waving is met by stony indifference I don't bother now.
It's just another sign of the lack of friendly human interaction that is prevalent in London nowadays.

Are you wearing any clothes when you wave?
