William flew a bigger one - initially air-sea rescue in the RAF, then an air ambulance. A genuine job which required significant skill.

I have always been surprised that Harry who was hopeless at exams at school was able to become an Apache commander, which much also have required significant brains.

Both probably demonstrated courage as well as skill in their military roles.

The real deal

Harry went in to training to become a pilot but was so proficient ended up a pilot/gunner, which surprised a lot of people!!!!

rofl Too funny. More money than brains.

Objection your honour.

I can easily use an Aston Martin handbrake, but I cannot control a large helicopter.
I think piloting a helicopter might require a very active and alert brain.
I thought Harry Markle was the pilot?

Many members of our Royal Family have been pilots.
The late Duke of Edinburgh was more of a naval seafarer, who later specialised as a comedian, concentrating on some hilarious 'foot in mouth' jokes.
King Charles III qualified as an RAF pilot flying fixed wing aircraft. I don't think he flew helicopters.
Prince William became an RAF helicopter pilot, then later piloted an air ambulance helicopter for some time.
Andrew (is he still a prince?) flew RAF helicopters in the Falklands war.
Harry (is he still a prince?) flew RAF helicopters in the Afganistan war.

With intensive training by (self appointed Sir) Lawrence, they should all be able to master the idiosyncratic Aston Martin handbrake.

A clear win for the Aston here, is this a first ?

While I’m not so sure it would have edged the Roma in better conditions, AML will rightly be very chuffed to chalk this one up.

Are you Jeremy Corbyn, or perhaps his brother ?

I know someone who was educated at an ordinary state school in Oxted (coincidentally the town where Kier Starmer grew up, although he went to a private school, Reigate Grammer).
After achieving good results he was then accepted into the RAF Cranwell, Central Flying School. They recruit on merit and the training closely monitors skill. If you don't make the grade, crashing is always a possibility.

The DB9 handbrake foxed me completely. When I bought the car it had about 1cc of petrol left so I drove very gently to a garage 2-3 miles away, stopped next to a pump, put the handbrake on and filled the tank. Could I get fking handbrake off again? No. I rang the dealer for help but he didn't answer so I had to get the handbook out...

So I just use 'P' instead.

One of the Morgan sports cars has always had a traditional handbrake, which when applied, remains in the up position.
Some of their early customers kept tripping over the hand brake lever when leaving the car.
Think their trouser turnup was catching the hand brake.
To resolve that problem, Morgan told them to wear a particular type of trouser and then named the car Plus Four.

You have reminded me about Harry's wedding.
There was an hilarious preacher, whose plan must have been, to dominate the entire ceremony.
Everyone wondered whether his sermon would ever end.

There were some, "One is not amused" expressions,
and a suppressed smile from the heir to the throne.

Wonder if his royalties from that performance, might now stretch to a DB12.

I have a mate who was almost certainly in a position to know about Harry and his skills in the Apache. Apparently he was a skilled weapons officer and a natural pilot but someone else had to do the flight calculations (fuel, load, etc.) for him. He was a good soldier and commander supposedly.

1st post here so Hi.

I have a DB12 Volante on order, supposed delivery in SE Florida US is May, June 24.
2 observations,
1 I had planned to be in England early April and had requested a factory tour, at this moment it is pending due to "factory renovations"
2 Yesterday, 15th Feb I was in the dealership and asked about how DB12 deliveries were going, I was told they had delivered 2 cars early Jan but all DB12 cars are now in what they called quarantine waiting on software updates. Looks to me like they probably have 8 to 10 cars on the floor available.

Anyone have info on the factory tour, are they really renovating?

I'm really excited to get the car and hope the software and production niggles get sorted out soon, coming from an AMG GT roadster.

Image from the configurator at time of order, Buckinghamshire green, bronze wheels, black top, upper and lower black pack, saddle tan and black interior on comfort seats.

Nice car Rbf. If I had one on order I too would get counting down the days.
I don't know about the factory situation but its generally felt that they are now getting on top of the software issues so hopefully you shouldn't have much delay

Thank you for sharing. About the factory renovating: Probably not. Best bet it is because of the software issues and that they have a lot of cars in there waiting to be fixed. Not something you want to show to people or something to be proud of..
