So what have you done with your Aston today?
Discussion
Picked mine up from Chiltern Aston as it was in having a hood cable replaced.
Managed to get back before the wife in her Evoque, my son in his 3 series, my oldest daughter in her polo so I've got the driveway virtually all to my self.
The Rolls is for special occasions, the Aston is for the weekend and the Freelander is my daily. The Mini at the end is my daughters who is still learning to drive.
When we are all at home, our driveway is packed so its rare for me to have space.

Drove from France to Germany to Belgium to Holland. Killed *lots* more insects. Spotted a lot of people photographing the car whilst it was parked. Had a kid at a service station snapping away so much I let him sit in the driver’s seat and snapped one of him in it. Ran it up to 283km/h on the autobahn before running out of road. Rock solid.
I’ve decided I love SS III, but dislike the Garmin Satnav so much I aM now seriously considering dropping the money on upgrading AMI II to III.

Yes, the Garmin nav is atrocious, but is the cost to upgrade from AMi II to III really £3k? I may just put up with the TomTom stuck to the windscreen for that money! (sadly)edit: forcing myself back on topic, had a superb drive up the coast to Aldeburgh where I failed to take any photos. So here's one of it taking a shower yesterday.

Had a nice early drive up from Kent to McGurks coffee morning
Took off front No plate plinth but will have to stick to standard plate size as there are deep rub marks from said plinth
I noticed the V12VS have a thinner and set up so may look into that
Have a look at fourdotsquare plates. I took the front plinth off my db9.2 and it revealed 2 nice holes (by design) in the bumper. The plate I got is black background so it covers the holes and looks tidy.Took off front No plate plinth but will have to stick to standard plate size as there are deep rub marks from said plinth

4 new brake disks and Porterfield pads - ready for South of France hoonage ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
![](http://i.imgur.com/KGcTvVSl.jpg)
Semi DIY thanks to The Ramp Room (Casnewydd's Newport) as the whole bloody suspension had to be disassembled to get a proper hex socket on the utterly seized handbrake caliper bolts
![](http://i.imgur.com/kAeUQOyl.jpg)
They also had the diagnostics to wind back the electronic handbrake... Cant recommend this pro backup for any DIY enough...
I bought the pads back from the 'States (plus some other bits) and saved a packet![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Et voila! Slotted sexy disks from a Rapide S and freshly painted wheel thanks to fab DL Bristol:

Thoroughly recommend the Ramp Room as its the best of both worlds - I've done brakes on dozens of cars but would have failed here as it got too tough. At least I managed to do the air filters (which paid for the pads)!
