So what have you done with your Aston today?

Dropped in at AM Cambridge. Had a sit in a DBSS then had to get out before I was overpowered. Consoles myself that there is still no space in the back so it doesn’t work as a 2+2 and I’m better off sticking with my V12VS. Repeated that to myself a few times.
I also had a play with AMi III, looking at the satnav improvements and Apple CarPlay. Want.

What time? There was a couple there eyeing the red DBSS and another sitting in the red new shape Vantage in the showroom. I was just standing around most of the time, or sitting in the AMR Vantage outside running the engine...
Took my V12V in for it’s MOT and took the opportunity for a first drive in a new Vantage while I was at the dealership. Interesting comparison driving the cars back to back and I also had use of a V12 DB11 for 5 weeks earlier in the year so interesting to compare these also. In summary the new Vantage is a fantastically competent sports car, handling, pace, steering and noise (particularly in Track+ mode) all on point and its great how it manages to extend the bloodline with clear visual references to the past while thoroughly updating most aspects as you would want and expect from a modern car.
I really hope this car is the success for Aston Martin it deserves to be, it is really well engineered and usable, elegant and purposeful, a proper modern sports car.
That said, the drive back in the V12V (through some of the most stunning Autumn chroma I can remember...) confirmed that car is and will be irreplaceable....

Took the DB11 to Cars and Coffee in Jacksonville Florida today. About 800 cars today and the Aston drew quite a crowd. It was the only Aston there. They had me park with the other exotic cars. A Ferrari to the right of me and a Lamborghini to the left. Saw a bunch of old friends. I haven’t been in a few months due to health issues, it sucks getting old. Forgot to take some pictures but they will be on line at automotive addicts Jacksonville.com
