Decided to eradicate a couple of rattles which were coming from the passenger door and glove box glove box was nice and easy, the screw nearest the centre console would not tighten up in the captive screw plate, whipped it off and compressed it in the vice which has done the trick The rattle on the passenger door was at the top, removed the door card hoping to find something loose but all was good with that, nothing evedent on the door itself led me to the two White locating blocks at the top of the door, although not loose I decided to cover them with some 2mm tape, reinstated everything in the hope it was sorted and hey presto it was a success took it out for a run and it has totally transformed the cabin, no more squeaky rattles a successful couple of hrs completed with a good rinse and hoover
Or maybe you just put the sunvisor up! Honestly this is what the death rattle from CLEARLY deep inside the door or glove box was on my car. A bl00dy loose sun visor - for 18 months!!! Ken Figenus said:

I took my Vanquish to the Supercar Driver meet at Manchester Runway Visitors Park, there were a bunch of nice cars there but I was fairly tired and crap at taking photos, put a few on my Instagram but saved one for here.
That's my mate chris' car, mine was parked a bit further down Edited by PantsFire on Wednesday 9th January 11:25
Had a slightly surreal morning - went to the AM dealer to have some minor glitches fixed.
While waiting I met:
DB4 GT Continuation - "the real" Superleggera - a Beauty - funny, looked like new...
One-77 in Meteorite Silver (?) - an absolute dream.
Vanquish Zagato Coupe in Blue - doesn't work for me.
Vulcan in flat white and bare carbon - probably awaiting race livery - striking.
V600 in two-tone Silver - great body, somewhat let down by the two-tone paint sceme - IMO the shape works better in uni-colour.
Also I took some time looking at the new models
Vantage - doesn't look as bad as I thought from pictures - still don't like front grille and rear - interiour felt weirdly chaotic
DBS "the pretend" Superleggera - great looks, more muscular than on pictures - best presence of the new Astons
Overall, the One-77 really stood out - what a magnificient sculpture!

While I was there this stunning blue F40 turned up (not totally off topic as my V8V is in the background).
How good is it to see a car like an F40 not in the typical red, and it looks terrific. Also, to stay on topic, how good is it to see a photo of only 75% of a Vantage, top work! nglasbey said:
Went to Caffeine and Machine yesterday. Been meaning to go for a while now.
What a wonderful place run by great people. Highly recommend it.

My second visit there yesterday lunchtime. Food average at best I'm afraid. Real shame. What a wonderful place run by great people. Highly recommend it.

Had a trip into work that was so strangely like a stress dream I had to give serious thought as to whether it was a stress dream.
Got in, started it. Three warning lights. Ice (fine, it's cold), low tyre pressure (front NS, only 1 psi below the other three but in "the zone" at 32 that pings the warning. That's fine too. It's because it's cold), and emissions (ignore).
Set off assuming the tyre pressure would come up as I drove.
Then got irritated by the warning, remembered I had a footpump in the back, so pulled in to pump it up. Put the tube on the valve and heard the sound of air escaping. Hmm. Tried again. Checked the footpump and the tube had snapped. bks. Never mind. I'm in Halfords car park - I'll get another one.
Halfords doesn't open for another 30 mins though. Pressure is now at 27. bks. I really do need to fix this. OK, dump the footpump and double back to the last garage I passed to use their air machine.
Wouldn't it be funny, I thought as I pulled onto the forecourt if their machine was out of order. As it turns out, no, it's not funny at all. bks.
Right, continue with my doubling back (almost back to home now) to the next garage.
Great. Their machine works. Except I have no cash. Sodding hell. Where's the cash point machine? Find it. "Can't dispense cash at the moment". Oh, bkS!
Back to the first garage, get cash, then back to the second garage. Buy some stuff I don't need and now I have a shiny £1 coin and can put air in my tyres.
Bliss.
Get back in the car. Christmas tree dash this time. Ice warning. Emissions warning. Oil level warnings x2. Never mind. These go away. So off I set. Sure enough the electrical systems warning message pops up.
Grit my teeth, mutter "bks to you too" at the dash, and press on.
Eventually all bar the emissions warning lights clear. And I get to work. And the nice thing? Driving a V12VS makes you forget starts to the day like that in no time whatsoever.

I called in at Caffeine Machine today in the Vantage on way to Banbury to pick up my sons RS4. We also thought food not that good ours went back for another try. Well worth a visit get some nice cars in car park. Coffee very good.
It's a shame the food isn't as good as the marketing Pick it up from Works following fitment of a lightweight clutch
Its like a different car with much improved in gear pick up and the gear change is the best its ever been, so now a very happy bunny
Shaun also gave me a quick tour of this iconic location
The reason for clutch failure was as I suspected a failed damper spring in the friction plate which had come adrift which is the same failure mode I experienced back in May

hi yes it is
as with any twin plate there is more "chatter" due to the increased number of components
I would suggest the vibration etc to which you refer is the usual resonance when in a slightly higher gear for the road speed, and is indeed still present but no cause for concern
I have just driven from Kent to Manchester and I love it
PS these need to be driven 13500 miles since end of May 2018 and 310 so far this week
