So what have you done with your Aston today?

wow, those modern delivery lorries sure can shift!!
(but more seriously if it was a figure much above 80 I would be mentioning it, the delivery driver shouldn't be ragging a customers car)
I thought they'd collect on a truck tbh, they have in the past. It was well past 80, I think you're right, I'll have to bring it up.(but more seriously if it was a figure much above 80 I would be mentioning it, the delivery driver shouldn't be ragging a customers car)

Someone’s driven a powerful sports car at “ well past 80 “ , is that really a problem ?I wouldn’t waste my time mentioning it on here never mind making an issue of it at the dealer.
Life’s too short man.
I insisted Nottingham transported my DBSS when it had to have the boot resprayed.
I had a run-in with a garage a number of years ago when my car was in to have a cracked wheel replaced and service whilst it was there, only to find it was doing 105 mph, less than 5 minutes after being started on a cold January morning, and on the cracked wheel!

That`s like saying "The taxi driver had his hands all over my hot wife in the back seat, but hey she`s hot, who can blame him, no harm done." I wouldn’t waste my time mentioning it on here never mind making an issue of it at the dealer.

I had my S6 Audi abused by an airport car valet service that damaged the brakes with what must have been some super heavy braking then leaving the car parked up with the handbrake on. It had been in for a service a week earlier so my garage was easily able to see the damage that had been done. The valet service wrote, "We handle Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Aston Martins, why would we thrash an Audi." Ahh, so you are thrashing more exotic cars by preference?

Mine is going into Nottingham on Thursday, makes me glad I insisted on it being transported rather than there initial offer to have it driven.... I live in Warrington so best part of 200 mile round trip.I had a run-in with a garage a number of years ago when my car was in to have a cracked wheel replaced and service whilst it was there, only to find it was doing 105 mph, less than 5 minutes after being started on a cold January morning, and on the cracked wheel!
On truck collections for service I was told that one truck driver from a well known outfit said he wasn't that comfortable driving them on and off trucks!
My comments on speed were maybe a bit flippant, but an Aston at up to 90-95 or so in right gear is much better than a previously scorned driver trying to do 75 to 80 in second and traffic light burnouts up to 50 or 60mph followed by brake testing.

It was not Nottingham but a 200 mile round trip is a bit much on cars that are unfortunately mileage sensitive, so I think you made the right call.PantsFire said:
My car should be returned after its service today/tomorrow, there is an issue though and I'm not sure how to handle it, the car is tracked and the tracker logged a speed I'm not too happy about on its journey to the garage, need to talk to the garage today and settle up, would you bring it up?
Absolutely I would! It shows complete disregard for your car regardless of the speed I'd also be worried about it being ragged from cold. A friend had his Porsche looked at and it was taken on a 'test drive', a 30 mile test drive at excessive speeds though not when it was sat outside a chip shop for 20 minutes. The chip smell was still in his car on collection He took no prisoners and neither should you. robt350c said:
