That's quite a high % of 100 cars though .
Feels about right to me.

Based on the kind of people buying these cars and the perceived appeal of the 'last opportunity to buy manual n/a V12 etc etc", my guess is that >90% of the V12s will be 7sp manuals

Therefore a 1/3:2/3 split between Roadster and Coupe probably isn't too far off the average across the Vantage range?
yep. Will be fascinating to see if there are even as many as 5 or 6 SS V12 AMRs - still don't think we've seen a single one on here ? Or on social media ?

Pick up of my AMR tomorrow cancelled.

Titanium exhaust and replacement rear carbon diffuser only arrived today and has now been fitted. Back to Reep next week to have bonnet PPF replaced (slight imperfection in film) and for rear diffuser to be wrapped.

Fingers crossed pick up 16th

Cheers

Mark

Are most people on here planning on holding on long term, or looking to sell in 3-6 months. What's the general opinion on what they think the value will do on these.

Definitely a long term keeper for me.

long term keeper for me

it would appear that with the V12s, the vast majority are being specced by enthusiastic long terms keepers, many with lots of personalisation, which means theoretically, very few will appear for sale and thus keep residuals very high

with the V8s, I guess it's much harder to predict given how many have been specced by dealers for showroom sales, although hopefully dealers will stay fairly firm on selling prices - will be interesting to hear from those who have enquired how much, if any, wiggle room there is on these dealer spec cars

Mine is for the long term - but there again I said that about the V12VR and look what happened there.

I agree with Jonby in that values for the V8 and V12 could react differently in the short term. The V12 sold out very quickly, specced by owners who I think will keep for some time and therefore not many become available.

As regards the V8 I am pretty sure cars are still available and I am sure there are some who are hoping to flip them fairly quickly. I think they may be disappointed but that it is not to say for someone keeping for the long term it will not prove to be a good investment.

The miles we will put on ours will never make it a great investment but we will have some great times in it. First tour almost decided....

Only one Ian !

I'm definitely taking mine to LM24 and I've more or less decided to drive to the South of France a dew weeks before, when I'm due to stay with friends - I was going to fly, but am struggling to resist the temptation

We will soon have to start thinking about a date for an AMR owners meet up next year too

Agree that whilst V8 AMR may struggle to achieve a profit in the short term, that doesn't necessarily mean it's not a decent longer term investment

Mine is also a keeper - like Ian and Jonby , I have said that before but I’m pretty sure this time it will be . Just need to get the car and start enjoying it but it looks like mid April before that will happen .

I have a potential first world problem. SWMBO has given me a limit of two cars. So how long I keep the AMR depends on how it stacks up versus my GT8 and a potential 3rd car incoming.

And I love my GT8.....

Yes and before anyone says “get rid of Mrs D and keep all three cars!”, the cost of doing that may necessitate selling everything smile

How did your good lady wife decide upon 2 Rob ? Seems a very low number.

These problems can be overcome though. Cannot remember quite how I got away with it, but spreading the collection across two homes, is a good way of making the total appear to be fewer.

Tell your wife that I said, Christmas is the time of goodwill. You want 4, she wants 2, so it would be only fair to meet in the middle at 3.
If that fails, try the Jay Leno way. It always works. 150 cars, but only 1 wife. That is much better, than the other way around. wink

Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I’ve always wanted a Vanquish Carbon and now the prices are coming down I was tempted to look at swapping in a few months. But....the V12 AMR is a special car, and seems most so far will be keeping them. Was offered a GT8 build slot when they were released and regret turning that down, so think i’d Be mad to get rid of the AMR.
Looking forward to the first meeting when everyone finally gets their cars.
