So what have you done with your Aston today?

Pulled 4 slats out of my grille as per Redpants.
I like the look but not the gubbins on show behind and the increased possibility of strike damage. I'm thinking paint the removed ones black and refit to get most of the look but more protection. Someone else has done this I think.
Any opinions?
personally I prefer taking the other 4 slats out...I don't worry too much about protction, though.I like the look but not the gubbins on show behind and the increased possibility of strike damage. Excellent drive to Goodwood for MM on Sunday after managing a quick wash on Saturday before rain came in.
Great day and brilliantly organised. Plus an excellent drive back across country to M23 near Horsham with hardly any traffic as went north at Rolls Royce roundabout as everyone being sent to Chichester and A27.
4 cyclinder 28 litre old Fiat racing and spitting flames and smoke, another two Edwardian cars driving like BTCC competitors! and a 917 demo. Beer and fish and chips amongst thousands of daffodils near Trump on tractor and ukulele music plus some great H&S notices!

Changed the cabin pollen filters. Looks like it was the first time they'd been done in the 12 years the car has been on the road! Strange really as it had a full main dealer service history where the first owner seems to have been a bit of a cash cow for the dealer, especially looking at some of the prices paid for some very simple jobs
Whilst I was at it I removed the passenger airbag cover and put some foam tape in strategic positions in a hope that it will cure a rather annoying rattle/buzz from that very piece of trim.
All very straightforward and took me about 40 mins start to finish. Easy peasy

You might be right. That arrangement looks good. Had another look today and don't like all the gubbins on show so might get the matt black out to try and lose it
Cheers
If you are concerned about strike damage, you could always put some strategically placed black mesh behind the grille.Cheers
just taken the summer wheels in for re diamond cutting
after a well known vendor damaged the wheel , while replacing the tyres on the drive !! , had taken photos of the wheels before hand so there was no possibility of denying the damage.
Cuts into the face by the tyre iron !! vendor has agreed to make good the damage
total £180 to have the wheel re faced , but hacked off as I'm still using winter tyres on the second set of wheels and will take a week to get fixed
lesson learnt for future buy the tyres but take to a specialist to have them fitted

Got it back from Aston Martin Newcastle.
While driving on Tuesday I started suffering a splutter and hesitation under acceleration, also a smell of petrol. After calling the dealership they advised recovery to them via Aston breakdown assistance. Car was collected on Wednesday morning on a flatbed, dealership diagnosed faulty injector(s) by lunchtime and ordered parts in to arrive overnight. Call at lunchtime today car ready all 8 injectors replaced and car ready to be delivered by flatbed back to my home address by 1.30pm.
Whilst unhappy that the car had developed a fault the service from AM breakdown and Stephen and the team at Aston Martin Newcastle was absolutely first class
