I concur!I had the aircon tested and re-gassed as it didn't seem to work. Even though it was re-gassed about 14 months ago according to an invoice I have that came with the car.
Local mobile air con specialist with very good reviews. Came out to my house, tested current system pressure, removed old gas (only 500g instead of the required 750g), put system under a heavy vacuum to try and find any leaks, vacuumed the system out (said there seemed to be a lot of air in it), added some new compressor oil, and recharged the system. He did the re-charge as a 'vapour fill' which means it's charged with the engine (and compressor) running rather than filling it static.
Checked the system for any leaks, checked the operation and that we had nice cold air (4 degrees c) coming into the cabin.
Was on site for just under 2 hours. Total cost - £60! Can you imagine what AM would have charged![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

Well, I could go and look at my last invoice... but I'd rather not! (despite them price-matching somewhere else).Local mobile air con specialist with very good reviews. Got it back from Aston Martin Newcastle.
While driving on Tuesday I started suffering a splutter and hesitation under acceleration, also a smell of petrol. After calling the dealership they advised recovery to them via Aston breakdown assistance. Car was collected on Wednesday morning on a flatbed, dealership diagnosed faulty injector(s) by lunchtime and ordered parts in to arrive overnight. Call at lunchtime today car ready all 8 injectors replaced and car ready to be delivered by flatbed back to my home address by 1.30pm.
Whilst unhappy that the car had developed a fault the service from AM breakdown and Stephen and the team at Aston Martin Newcastle was absolutely first class
ashway, did you receive any further information what caused the injectors´ fault? Is it a common failure? Was it repaired under warranty or how much did it cost? While driving on Tuesday I started suffering a splutter and hesitation under acceleration, also a smell of petrol. Got my exhaust remote fitted, took the car for a brisk run to test it... happiness is idling through a village and as you return to the national speed limit there's a seamless increase in noise instead of an audible jump as you pass the RPM to activate the valves. Everyone thinking of modifying their exhaust should start with one of these, it may be all you need.

The dealer had an idea what it may have been when I phoned them and described the symptoms. They said they’d come across it before though it was not common. The fault only manifested itself when the engine was hot and identifying which injector it was with a hot engine was problematic due to difficulty in stripping down. Car is still under manufacturers warranty till mid June so they authorised all 8 injectors being replaced under warranty.
