So what have you done with your Aston today?
Discussion
Spent the morning trying to get the misfire correction values re learnt on my V8V. You need a bloody long road to do the procedure and it was just too busy so will try again one morning in the early hours. Wouldn't bother as the car has run faultlessly for 5 years without them but AM Nottingham wont disable my tracker (parasitic drain problem) without the codes present.
Spent the afternoon finally getting round to starting the full disc/pad swap i've had the parts for since last Summer.

It's a great upgrade. I've googled Auto West S.C and have returned a company in poland. Assume this is the company you got it from? Were they OK to deal with? Any language barriers? I'd like to get the same for my DB9, the factory fitted guard looks very low rent compared to your car! Does the carbon perform as well as the facatory fitted item, as a heat shield from the radiator to the bonnet, which I believe is it's function?Felonious said:

Looks good. What did you think of Topaz? I’ve only ever used Dub for PPF before and thought about getting mine over to Topaz, but none of them seem to have universally glowing recommendations. cayman-black said:
Wow, that's beautiful, is MF ? some more details, this car looks mint.
Yep - MF. Last MY 2013 car, manual, and AMWorks supplied and fully serviced by them. AMW decatted with remote controller and still under their warranty. It is just glooorious!!!westhumbler said:

Topaz have filmed my last 6 cars - I think they do try their best, and they take customer service seriously. Their product is excellent and as good as the best out there. It is a hand applied product so will always be subject to potential imperfections, but they are always happy to try and rectify any issues if there are any. Their current team (Daniel and Andy) running front of house is far better than previous. I like the fact that they are a large commercial operation who are willing to back their product and service, as opposed to a smaller outfit which can hide.I agree re de-cat. BR did mine the day I collected, so I don't have much experience with the cats on, but it sounds sublime without. The remote ccharger swtitch helps keep things motorway and wife-friendly, as well. If anyone's interested, valves closed and not in sport gives 98dB at 4k rpm, valves open 102bD (iirc, or thereabous).

Really good to meet you mike and they look lovely I think because you have the chrome window surrounds and the chrome side strakes it works better than mine.
But still makes me think I should not have sold them..... hahahaha
Mine needs to be an inch nearer the ground though ..But still makes me think I should not have sold them..... hahahaha
I could always sell them back for an exorbitant mark up lol
I've got my flameproof suit on so happy to say that i've used TRW pads for the last 6 years on my V8V. I don't track it but don't hang around either. Bought them before they were marketed as Aston pads (fronts are RR supercharged and rears are Mk1 Focus RS if I recall correctly). Sorted the incessant squeaks and squeals that both my Vantages had suffered from and actually diminished the rippling that had started to occur on the disc faces. No wear indicators in them but the car is serviced every 1500 miles anyhow so no fear of em running through. 1/5th of the price of Pagid 'squeelmeister' compound pads too. Just swapping discs and pads front and back (discs ready at 50K) and happily using TRW pads again.

The remote switch for the zorst is a must!
If you look beyond the YouToober end of things, Dub generally has some good stuff lurking around, from brand new RS Porkers and Ferraris of various kinds in for a detail and PPF to the occasional Aston, Lambo and Bentley. The guys there are certainly very capable, but they were pretty over-run for a while, I'm assured now that they've got their admin under control and better scheduled. Stu from F1 Wax will be doing the prep and there's a stone chip that Dannysvr will deal with, so it should come back better and better protected. I'll report back.
I've had my car done at Topaz and found their attention to detail and customer service excellent, would very much recommend.
Though a funny story, when I picked my car up after the first maintenance wash and inspection I took off around the north circular and whilst overtaking a lorry I heard a bang on the passenger side and prepared for the worst, of course a stone had managed to pierce the film and the paint on the passenger door! I laughed it off, the PPF had already deflected a few good hits on the front with no problems but such is life!
