Blimy!
I just went to load the car up and had to abort due to a massive hail storm.
I hope this doesn't carry on for tomorrow. At this rate it will be difficult to drive up there with a trailer let alone run in an open car.
Actually weather reports put it as clearing.

We had the same 'Hurricane' hit us just before it hit you Andrew,,,I'm sure it'll have caused considerable damage. Tomorrow is looking dry until late pm. I just went to load the car up and had to abort due to a massive hail storm.

Had the call this afternoon from Michael Broadhurst ARDS instructor to confirm that he and Steve Lewis will be at the circuit from 08:30 for signing in. I am sorry we'll be missing some of our steadfast grid colleagues but I'm sure there will be another Track Day (September) where we hope to reunite.
The sun shone down on us yet again,,,,now wasn't that an experience,,,a narrow track yes, undulating yes, with a shed load of testing bends, staying focused absolutley essential, getting the right line over the 'blind' mountain crest was to say the least 'challenging'.
Guys I can't thank you enough for helping make the day so memorable, what a great bunch of blokes, if I mention one I would have to mention you all, thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope you all enjoyed the Dakota fly past, Ed set the standard there.
PS: photos I hope will follow from Johns web site tomorrow.

Gentlemen thanks for your kind expressions of gratitude, it was rather a wonderful experience. A unique track layout, undulating, twisting, very busy.
Looking down from the Club house and being able to see cars less than 100yds away pop into view over the mountain crest then in less than 5 secs pass just 20 yds below you before dissappearing again around the first of the Hall curves, whilst at the same time being able to see and hear Astons going full pelt along the start finish straight on the opposite side of the circuit was for me nothing less than breathtaking.
The icing on the cake was knowing the drivers and knowing exactly how much they are enjoying their Astons, it just doesn't get better than that.
PS: I do thank you for allowing Andrew to join us in his AC Cobra, that thing could shift! Also Cockers in his Audi, we are obligated under the human rights act to include him as being from an under privileged background,,,, not forgetting the Essex ugly mob that are not only his very good friends but also, in the main, share his surname.

Andrew, superb video, it is nice to see another car on track ahead of the camera car, adds to the feeling of a proper race track video,,,,if only I had realised you were there, if only. https://youtube.com/watch?v=0cwrv7yamq8

You were driving like a demon Bob, that meant Andrew had his work cut out
For Vesuvius Teaspoon was uncatchable Vilhelm, I tried and it wasn't safe. No excuses but your semi-slicks and my 16 stones brother gave me no chance. Which was a shame because we would both have enjoyed some sparring. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
