Johnny 550 is Coming!
Discussion
Brakke - He's back with Mike & Adrian finishing off V1.2 of the engine. Making some engine mods that come from the Jag 5.0 evolution (which is related to the Aston block). Mechanical twin throttles proved not ideal at idle and low revs so they are working on electronic twin throttles. All part of being the guinea pig ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
Roughrider - as I understand it the V12 wheels can be made to fit, but I'm not a fan of them. I think I've found a set of lighter forged wheels which are wider on the back than the V12 ones

Mikey......why not just put in a 5.0 litre jag engine..?.....are they not the same engine in essences?
I stand by to be corrected.....
The 5.0GT4 block is actually similarI stand by to be corrected.....
Top end is very different and of course the jag engine is not dry sumped
I guess in theory it is possible but I'm not knowledgeable enough to even contemplate getting the electronics to work!

Mikey, you really should change the name of this thread....not coming is it....in fact it's come...gone back, ....still back.....it must be frustrating having a great car , trying to make it better for it to sit in someone else's garage.....

Johnny was always a test car for this conversion I knew that and I'm comfortable
V2 of the block is being built up as we type.
