Both !
These prices were falling drastically before Christmas, and continued to do so until last month.
Ironically, now could be a decent time to buy (I bought in March) as the depreciation curve has flattened somewhat
Prices still seem to be decent, I've seen quite a few good examples sell between 35-40k sell within 1 week. I suppose it falls into a lot of people's affordable price range now. I dont think prices won't fall as much as the mass produced 911 in this price range; a dealer said the same to me recently. FWIW...
I bought my car privately... It still had a bit of AM warranty on it which was transferable...
I did all the normal HPi checks etc and then used my own eyes and judgement, of both the car and the seller..
Based on what I could see, the car looked great and was what I wanted, and the seller was a decent chap who didn't try and big it up or anything... I went ahead and bought it...
Would I do the same thing again?? Yep in a heartbeat... I probably saved a good £4k to £5k, and I got the car of my dreams..
Sometime you just have to piss, or get off the pot...

The AM warranty is transferable between private individuals ie. in the case of a private sale however becomes invalid when the vehicle is bought by a motor dealer or trader.
That said it is very difficult for AM to know where or how a car is bought from and therefore non approved or specialist dealers will/may transfer any outstanding AM warranty to the next owner.
The only issue that may arise is when a major warranty claim is made AM may investigate where the current owner purchased the car from.

Pardon the ignorance, but was Grigio Titanio (a Ferrari colour AFAIK) a standard colour for the V8V? Or was it a special order?
Now that I think of it, I'm sure I've also seen V8Vs in Tour de France blue and Rosso Corsa, again both Ferrari colours.
It is a special order "other manufacturers colour".. About £1.8k extra. Looks great changes colour from dark to light grey according to the light! Now that I think of it, I'm sure I've also seen V8Vs in Tour de France blue and Rosso Corsa, again both Ferrari colours.

So I'm assuming you did buy from a main dealer. I dont actually where I buy from as long as the car is "right".
Looks like a nice full spec 07MY car. Depending on how Aston savvy the dealer is, for peace of mind you can always negotiate a deal based on the car having a full main dealer inspection and new 1 year warranty, maybe also get an updated nav DVD thrown in as well?
