There seem to be more greens than dreary greys on offer! Which is a good thing imo

Isn't it funny how colours of cars bring out such strong feelings. If ever you have seen either of these colours in real life then they are both stunning and which one you go for comes to personal choices. I am not a great fan of white cars (you can't be living in Devon with our red soil) but saw one in Grange and when the sunlight caught it the colour became multi dimensional and looked absolutely tremendous. I have a friend with a HG V12V and I would never describe the colour as bland (which is what you are saying if you call it beige). It is a subtle colour which changes dependent on its surroundings and the ambient light and is one of my favourite Aston colours. I think bitter chocolate is a great combination with it - but I would say that because that is what I have chosen on my V12VR.Unfortunately, the HG would sit well in a bowling club car park. Curious... exact opposite for me. The more 'sporty', shall we say, nature of the Vantage suits the more modern/fashionable colour. The DB9s lines are more elegant, the lines more classically proportioned and I think it suits the classic colour.What I'm trying to say is that chav white suits the chav Vantage and it is far easier to get white jeans to match the car.

The green car suggests to me that whoever ordered it had sat down and thought carefully about what they wanted in a car. The other one seems like the customer just walked into a dealership and said "I want one of those, in that colour. Don't bother me with the rest of the details, just get on with it". No contest for me really.

I find the whole conversation quite interesting. You can almost reduce it down to a debate about Britishness and snobbery. I don't believe it's a nouveau riche thing to drive around in a MF or brightly adorned car. I do believe that the rest of the world sees the world in a slightly more colourful way than us and that is reflected in their choice of car colour. Indeed some of these countries are only recently able to afford new Astons or Ferarris, but they probably would have gone for a similar choice of colour even if their money had been passed down through 4 generations. Aston Martin (whilst partly Kuwaiti owned) represents one of a britains last testaments to our sense of taste and culture and I guess this may be partly the cause of some of this banter. This, basically, is it in a nutshell.However, if your OH likes the Hardly Green, it has the lurvely Sports Pack fitted and price seems OK, I think you have your answer anyway. Why push for the MF car?
BTW, she should have quite a decent drive in it - the SP isn;t for everyone if she;s used to wafters...
White suits certain cars very well, mainly classics, drop top Alfa's etc.
Wilmslow White doesn't suit an Aston IMO, but that's 'my' opinion.

Now I'm a huge fan of green, but wasn't sure about the hardly green at first, but the more I go back to the pics, the more I like it. I think it's quite elegant and definitely says something different to the frost. The white is lovely, but always a coulour I prefer to see on someone else's car; just not brave enough yet!
I guess the message is: go for exactly what you (or the OH) prefers. Don't worry about residuals, it's your car, why buy a car for someone else's benefit??
A dealer near me had a Vantage in banana yellow, which you'd think would take a knock in value. But as soon as a punter showed an interest, it went for top money. Supply and demand, you see.
Good luck with your purchase, I doubt you'll be disappointed either way.

She was OK with Sport Pack's ride. It is obviously much harder then 4x4s ride but she's got used to Modena's suspension as well so the comment was that AM was hard but not as hard as Ferrari...so acceptable
Her (and mine) main reservation was having enough legroom for the child at the rear but it looks acceptable (would still want to come back with proper child seat, not booster)
TBH I am not that worrying about residuals as I prefer to enjoy my cars and I actually drive them
I expect to keep it for 2-3 years max and I think it should not go below £35k in 3 years time, hopefully should be better than that @ around £40k.
