Comparison sites can be misleading. My quotes ranged from £1000 to £10,000 ( go figure) - but Sheilas Wheels who we were with already (and who were something like £2500 on the comparison site) were £500 when we called to check pre cancelling cover. Not suggesting you call every company, but asking you existing provider is worth a go as you maybe surprised ( we were!). Buggered if I would insure a DB9 for £500!
And Sheila's Wheels include £300 handbag insurance if it gets nicked from your car smile I believe Neil, Nick and Cockers are pursuing competitive quotes as we speak biggrin

Park it on the road and it will be cheaper than in your garage (Surely I'm wrong I hear you say, but no, tis true).

Tracker is another thing to consider. On my policy having the tracker enabled would reduce my premium by £2. 200 pennies no less !!

I'm with Elephant, you could try those.

Or, as others have said, a classic policy with ClassicLine or Hagerty might be an option. I've insured previous cars with both of those companies and they are very good when it comes to customer service.

Porsche forum is your best bet. Plenty of arguing and fighting there.

Just done mine for £511, Jeremy, though I had to give them my wife too.

Sorry, meant to say my wife's car smile

Another vote for admiral. I cancelled my golf gti insurance and replaced it with my new v8 vantage. Extra £210.

Needed the quote quickly to drive when i get delivery tomorrow but will also try:
> novell and richards
> a-plan

These guys were the cheapest for my maserati gts and porsche c2s repectively.

Thanks for the helpful replies, really appreciate it.

For what its worth Locktons got my business, and i am very happy with the deal.

As to the more bickering negative comments, well, I dont have the energy for it, smacks of frustrated, snotty, middle aged men.

Not sure the last sentence was necessary, but glad you got a price you were happy with.

Of course not. I felt it would be understood that Le Yeti is already insured with Sheila's Wheels primarily because of the handbag insurance biggrin

Just had my multi car renewal from Admiral at £1664. Thats for 4 cars including the DB9V. I have just ran my quote through the Admiral system having made some very minor mileage tweaks to the Aston, i.e. reduced mileage from 6K to 3k and placed it on the drive instead of the garage, along with some minor changes to usage of the other vehicles. I have 11 years NCD on the Aston and the other cars are a Range Rover Vogue SE, Mercedes Benz CLK and a Mitisubishi Shogun with NCD's of 2,7,and 2 years respectively.

I managed to gain a reduction in premium of a massive 37.5% and my renewal in March will now be £1040 for 4 vehicles! Absolute bargain, the new premium on the Aston is only £273.11, with all the others cars at under £300 a piece. Makes a nice change to speak to a renewals agent at Admiral in Cardiff who ran through all my changes and confirmed that the renewal was correct...............RESULT!

woohoo

Just goes to show, always challenge the renewal!
