Alloy knobs - Not Mr Hall's
Discussion
Update, thanks to Peter, the knob for the Sat Nav control has been cut / filed down. Needed the skirt removing to fit onto the shaft coming out of the dash.
Unfortuently still doesn't fit. The shaft coming out of the dash is really thin, and the grub screw on the alloy knob does not screw in enough to connect. The original Sat Nav knob has its osn plastic shaft that fits over the shaft coming out of the dash.
So, off to try and find a way of making a shaft to fit inside the alloy knob that then fits over the dash shaft. Either that or cut the plastic shaft off the existing plastic Sat Nav knob and fit it to the the new alloy knob.
Downside of that - if it doesn't work I end up with no Sat Nav knob

I like these, great find, but I think they would look so much better if they were a mm or two smaller?
I notice they do 17mm and the ones you have used are 20mm... Im not sure if 17 would be too small, Shame they don't do 18 and 19 to try? Saying that, for the price, they are a bargain and its a great find, we'll done.
I will pop in and collect some as there is a Farnel 10 min away from me :-)

That's what I did I.e carefully remove (cut) the plastic insides of the existing knob and insert into the new one.Downside of that - if it doesn't work I end up with no Sat Nav knob
It's a leap of faith because, as you say, there is no going back, however, trust me it works perfectly.
