Baby seat for an 09MY V8V
Discussion
G'day,
Anybody know where I can find something to fit in a 09MY V8V for a newborn? Circumstances necessitate it may be required on rare occasions! Had a look but couldn't find anything for a Vantage, just a DB9. No ISOFOX as far as I am aware. Im in the UK by the way.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers!

If your passenger seat doesn't have ISOFIX you can't disable the passenger airbag. So would you want to put a baby in the car?
That's not correct (or at least not for newer cars). I have the sports seats in my V12V, no ISOFIX, but I do have the airbag diabling switch and use it frequently for driving one of my children.Zod said:

Indeed, my MY10 V8V is the same. Does anyone know what AM recommends with respect to using the passenger airbag for forward facing child seats? dutchiev8v said:

Can't defund anything on the subject. I disable it, but I'm wondering whether I should have it enabled for my eldest, who's 128 cm and nearly seven.http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/choosing/airbags.h...
Above link gives some clues but basically tells to ask the manufacturer. My question is relating a forward facing seat (designed WITHOUT Isofix) for a 5-year old.

My 4yro goes in her booster in mine with the airbag disabled. When I had the V8V she did the same but with the seat right back as you could not disable the airbag (2007)Above link gives some clues but basically tells to ask the manufacturer. A child seat for an under 3yr old in any seat in the car must face the rear of the vehicle...
I agree with that buddy but I'm pretty sure it is NOT illegal to use a forward facing car seat in the front. As in not a baby seatAnyway, that is an incorrect statement of the law. The only requirement in relation to rear-facing seats for children under three is that it is illegal to use a rear-facing seat in the front if there is an active airbag.
Hello all,
Had this a few weeks ago, so Spoke to both dealer and AM themselves. They have stated if there is no de activation switch then it's simple.
No child seat, no class 2 or 3 seat.
It's a real bummer I know!
If your seat is electronically adjustable it won't have ISOfix or the switch
Sorry
