So its not that drastic, and if I skip breakfast I could probably achieve the same, but I love carbon wink

Sorry, it's just the figure of 1,086 kg - the suggestion that you've saved just over a ton of weight (metaphorically and literally).

Nice...."italian chrome" aka carbon fibre bits smile

Cheapest way to save weight (other than dieting yourself) has to be a lithium battery. Have been running both my bikes with them for 5 years or so now, on the largest saved 12lb of weight off the neck of the bike.

Cost is a bit rough on those, which is why I use an AGM for mine. 13.4 kg of weight savings vs the OEM battery for a fraction of the price of lithium.

I Havnt looked at the price of a car lithium....on bikes they are about 2x the cost of a regular battery, and of course the % weight saving on something thats 200kg is more significant than a car.
