Hello all

Any idea how much it costs to fit the dension Ipod connection (including parts) for this to a Vantage (07) model?

Thanks

James at Paralight is the chap for this!

Try searching for Paralight as a user name or googling him.

Yep I've been meaning to do a bigger post on this but James (of Paralight) came to my flat 3 days ago (Friday) and fitted both his Denison Ipod kit and the Parrot bluetooth in my DB9 with absolutely no fuss and it works great.

If you want more details, message me.

I have a Denison IPod kit that I had fitted by James of Paralight. I have been meaning to put it up for sale if you are interested. It was in my 06 vantage.
Took it out because I ended up going with the oem iPod kit.
Can recommend James highly

I didn't realise there was an oem kit? Is that done by the dealer only?

Yes dealers charge around £1000 or more if I am not mistaken.

Eeek, my ears are burning.

Thank you for the kind comments.

Working on DAB upgrade at the moment, radio 5 live extra, in time for the Olympics and Euro 2012. Any interest?

All the best,

James

James

I certainly would be interested in a DAB option how far away are you from this? At the moment I have the big ugly pure highway grey box. Would also want the iPod connection, is there any difference between yours and the OEM?

Thanks

Now I'm really confused, I had mine fitted via a dealer, althoughthe fitter did it direct with me, I'm sure it was £550 + VAT the dealer would have charged £850 + VAT, I think (don't quote me though). I assumed it would be the OEM one but I've just found the user guide and it's the Denison Gateway 100/300/500. One question I have is does anyone have this and can they get the text on the screen because all I get is 'ipod'.

Huggy1, please give me a ring tomorrow afternoon ( Details on Paralight.co.uk ) I will talk you through getting text on the radio display.

BTW, it really cheeses me off how some installers cannot be bothered to hand over the car properly, showing the owner how to use the kit. I spent an awful long time developing the kit with Dension and serupticious help from gentlemen at the factory, only to have some numpty give less than professional service to an Aston owner. Or am I being to pedantic??

Re DAB, if you could please pm me, I will keep a list and update accordingly.

All the best,

James

Buying a fairly new or new (haven't decided yet) V8VR in the next couple of months. Love the DAB in our latest car (RRS) - isn't it pretty much standard in most cars nowadays? so would definitely fit DAB if it were available. I've tried the Pure Highway but that's an extra cable and an aerial and it ends up ugly.

Hi James

Finally got the car back and thanks to you, I now have the track listings on my display. You very obviously know your onions on this stuff but yeah I am also a little peeved as to why the installer didn't show me this, especially after paying a kings ransom to have it fitted.

Thanks very much once again.
