My 4.3 Vantage has been flashing up a slow response from the Lamba sensors and subsequently trigger the engine management light. I've plugged the code reader in and it's coming up that both are at fault giving a 'slow response'. I know this is a fairly common on the 4.3's my car was previously owned in London and perhaps its not adjusting well to the North Yorkshire Moors😉
What I'm wondering is has anyone replaced these before a aftermarket version like a bosch version for example? As the AM dealer seem to be quoting me there usual expensive prices. Any help greatly appreciated!

I have just changed all 4 Lamba sensors on my 7VV for Bosch equivilant and have no CEL light or running issues. Ive fitted Bosch 15717's x 4 as these have a slightly longer lead than my OEM items which are Ford stamped XR3F-9G444-B1A's Blue socket on the end and were the secondary downstream sensors.
The front O2's were Ford-XC2F-9F472-B1A's with a green plug on the end.
Its nearly always best practice to change them for new if your getting a code relating to them.
Shop around too but I got a pal in LA who has the same car as me to send me a set of 4 for a massive saving compared to over here as they were only $28 each over there from his local motor store. He has been running with them for many months and has no problems at all with them and NO CEL light either which is why I opted for them over paying stupid over the barrel AML prices.
The last two numbers of the Bosch 157 ( 17 ) relates to the lead length in inches long so 17 inches in my case. They also do 15716, 15718 and so on.
Cheers
