First of all - a big thank you to everyone on the forum who's helped me get my head around these cars over the last few months and make an educated purchase. Grant's book was also invaluable. Nice to be in the club at last smile

It's been a day of firsts, my first Aston, then my first quirk (couldn't close fuel filler flap when previous owner was showing the manual release) - 20 minutes later and some fiddling sorted it, then my first "at petrol pump" conversation about fuel consumption with a nice lad in a funky Corsa, my first time seeing random strangers stopping to look at my car in the street. The smile hasn't faded and probably wont for some time. Awesome car!

Obviously I would be foolhardy to post here without a pic, so excuse the naff shot - but the gas company have decided to dig up in front of my driveway frown

It's Meteorite with obsidian / chancellor interior and a smattering of nice options. Against my initial "must have list" it doesn't have premium audio - but the sound is still very very good.

Cheers everyone !

Kris

Agree on the front parking sensors - I've jumped in at the deep end, got the car at 11:30 yesterday, drove and parked in a multistorey car park in Guildford 2 hours later, and slotted into a teeny space at the station this morning - baptism of fire!
