GUESS THE COLOUR
Discussion
Lunablack - 'grey primer' very droll. I did anticipate though.
mikey k - Certainly not easy with all the silvers and greys.
PUMPMAN1860 - You are correct. GRIGIO TITANIO - FERRARI
Not many around. I now know of eight 4.7s. Aston told me there are about thirty in UK.
Having chosen this colour, I had to wait patiently for one year, before a 'pre-owned' example appeared.
I am very much enjoying the whole Aston Martin experience, particularly when I find a clear, safe road, allowing me to accelerate up to the speed limit.
What do you expect? - After all, this stuff is being published.

Wow - you really are an Aston Martin enthusiast.
I intend to stop at one.
I think your Vanquish S might be Grigio Titanio - Ferrari.
I did notice on your 'previous' list the Vauxhall Cavalier. We are now using our second Cavalier (almost the last one made). They have taken us more than 300,000 miles without problem. In comparison to an Aston Martin though, it is just transport, not an occasion.

I can't remember at the moment what the exact name of the colour
my Cavalier was, but it was beige (something 'Gold').
I remember that colour. It was a metallic, rather pompously my Cavalier was, but it was beige (something 'Gold').
perhaps called Rembrandt Silver.
My first Cavalier was given to a friend's son a year ago
at 200,000 miles. In it's latter days, it was finished
on the nearside in the original metallic Haze Blue, but
on the offside, front and rear, it was Matt Black.
The colour scheme much amused me. Different on each side.
Ideal for that old joke, 'can't wait for the witnesses to argue'.
I saw the photographs of your magnificent Vanquish S,
on your photographer's website.
Were the shots perhaps taken for a magazine?

Bottom one is a different spec
clear rears and N400 sills
Well spotted.clear rears and N400 sills
Do you agree with me, that Grigio Titanio, being a light colour, is better suited with red rear lights,
whereas darker colour Astons certainly look smart with clear?
N400 sills - I think George H, our forthright stylist, prefers those to be for racing cars only.
The wide rear track is emphasised without the extended sills.

I did wonder if it was my old car!!
Glad you are enjoying it. Be careful though....the car was good enough to get me hooked an Astons....its been an expensive path ever since!!
Thanks. I will certainly hede to your warning. Glad you are enjoying it. Be careful though....the car was good enough to get me hooked an Astons....its been an expensive path ever since!!
My cars usually become 'keepers', which does reduce the expense, but I do have to put up with comments about, 'too many cars'.
You mentioned 'hooked', and in a pevious topic, I think you referred to 'my three previous Astons'. Is your present V8VR really your 4th in two years? May I ask which models were numbers 2 & 3?
I was very grateful that you only kept mine for a few months, because I missed it when on sale early in 2011.
Hi James,
Wow! You are certainly an enthusiast, and a very good Aston Martin customer.
I don't think I will be tempted by the upper models, partly because the size of the Vantage is perfect for me. From the driver's seat, the car feels quite big (the bonnet probably), but when in my garage, it is just the right size for me to easily walk around the car.
If you want to, I am sure the forum members would like to see a photograph of your Virage. As you say, quite a rare model.
Cheers,
Jon.

It's a Ferrari colour, so not cheap to spec on an Aston when new, I agree it's a great colour changes from silver to dark grey according to the light - I had on a previous Roadster - great car Jon hope you are enjoying it
Grant - Thank you for mentioning your Grigio Titanio V8VR.I am compiling a register of UK Grigio Titanio Vantages, model year 2009 onwards (about 30 cars in total).
So far I know of four Roadsters. Perhaps yours is one of those four, but I am keen to find more.
The Roadsters that I already know, have the following First Registration dates;
30 SEP 2008 - (ex Lady Topaz)
24 JUL 2009
31 MAR 2010
14 MAY 2010
Please post some details, if your previous Roadster is a new discovery for me.
