Now, don't get me wrong, I love my 4.3 V8V and will keep it forever, I have joined in the arguments on here regarding 8 v's 12 cylinders, and have been proper slagged off for preferring the 8
Now, here's the thing, two weeks ago I bought a 22 year old Caterham, with a ford cross flow stage 3 1700, with, can you believe it...4..... Yes 4 cylinders, oh the humanity!.
Well at 7.30 am, I took this aberration of too few cylinders, for a drive in the frosty Kent and Sussex countryside, I have never ( repeat never for effect ) enjoyed a drive so much!!!! The noise, the smell, the twitches, the knowledge that no ECU is gonna help me out........it's not what our cars have got that make them fun to drive, it's what they ain't got that keeps you alert and alive!.
Love it.

Looks like SERIOUS fun - a fair few of the guys (especially sMurph) have experience with these wonderful beasts yes
It really is a laugh, it's spits fire from the exhaust, and all sorts of crap out of the twin webers, you have got to be on your wits though, a road I have driven many times in the V8V, starts with a bridge over train tracks, I have booted it many times over his bridge in the Aston, and it is fun, in the Caterham......it's a flight!
Scared the life out of me, when I stopped giggling, I tried it again.......I have never owned a flying car before...I do now!!
