I happened to notice the front page of the Birmingham Post today. The big story was that AM is up for sale and that there were 3 interested parties who were submitting offers. Namely Toyota , Mahindra and Tata. The paper stressed a sale was imminent within the next couple of weeks. Also AM posted a pre tax loss of 4.5 million . Apparently Tata were the favoured choice because of the close proximity of the Jaguar Land Rover factory.
Aston Martin when asked stated that the company was not for sale. Dar holdings which owns 65 per cent of AM said that they were very keen for a sale to go through.
All very confusing I'm sure you agree. Great to know that our foreign aid is going to be put such good use!!!!

Pretty sure this deal is getting very close to being sorted. I will be glad when it is . If the successful bidder is to be Mercedes AMG, they surely must be the best option for ASTON MARTIN. The thought of another British company falling into the hands of the Chinese is one I don't wish to think about.

Went to buy some wellies for Molly this week. As I was picking up a pair of Hunters the assistant told me to choose another make as at least a quarter of all their returns were made by Hunter. Turns out Even Hunter now belongs to the Chinese hence the plummet in quality.

I honestly think this is the best news that we could have hoped for. Now we will see some action at Gaydon.
Think I shall go to the pub tonight for a few beers to celebrate.

George when there is something so important to celebrate, work must come second to the pub.

My father in law loves anything that rubbishes AM. We have just had a telephone conversation whereby he claims that Tata withdrew their offer of 380 million because the company was being mismanaged. Without trolling through all the previous posts I informed him that it was Mahindra. Am I correct?
